Any attention is bad attention...MTV or any media for that matter will not put a straight headed BB'er/juicer...not good for ratings!

well... they are going to do the show with or without us... I think it would be good for someone to let the public know that there are smart ways to use these drugs and that we are not just a bunch of idiots injecting drugs.
It will be interesting to see anyway. I just wish we could be involved to show that we educate and are the ONE place you can go to get sound advice. Think about it... where else can you go to get good info?
Parents? NO
Teachers? NO
Coaches? NO
Steroid dealer? NO
Doctor? HELL NO
Get my point???
All we do as a country is BASH the **** out of steroids and give the users NO SAFE place to educate themselves! What BullSh!T

Does anyone else see the catch 22 here, people are saying it should be a level headed educated BBer who knows their **** and is in shape.
Do you think anyone with a good job and children is gonna want to be the poster boy for steroids on national television. This is the problem, anyone who is going to want to compete isn't gonna want to do it either.
So you rule out competitive bbers and level headed educated juicers and what are you left with?
Someone who is willing to have their steroid use plastered all over televsions, Im sure local LE will love that for whoever is on.
Just my 2 ccs

You are right IGJ. I did not think it would be a big deal (because I would do it if I didnt own this site). I could care less who knows what I do. I just want people to know that there is a place to learn how to use safely and to show that there is more to this than what the media portrays.

What next, True Life: Im a Drug Dealer?
True Life: Im a Hit Man?
I understand the point, but based on MTV's way of twisting the footage they get to make people think what THEY want, and the fact that its illegal and they want someone ON a cycle, its just weird.
Thanks for the heads up tho sys. admin, and thanks for a great site. I dont need my MTV, i NEED my AR.com

Any form of realitly TV is the furthest thing from the truth. Why would you want to put your name on something you have no control over? They tape the footage and you sign the release and that is that. The tapes are then subject to complete manipulation for self serving purposes and I am sure none of those purposes include educating the public on how steroids can be used safely and how much educational material is out there.

I really wouldn't mind doing it, except for the fact that there would be no way of keeping myself anonomous. Sure they would probably keep my face blurred the whole time. But what about when I go to work? Will they follow me? What will I tell people at my job?
I am 26 (27 this year), I am a year away from my engineering degree, I have been working as an engineering technician a a large engineering firm in DFW for 3 years now, served time in the military, happily married for 5 years and don't beat my wife when I'm on cycle. I'm 5'5", 185lbs, 18.5" arms, 42" chest, I have slightly higher bodyfat that a bodybuilder (17 to 19%). I don't juice for workout for any sports, I lift weights because I love it. I did powerlift in highschool and for the Army for a year though.
So I'm nowhere near the media portrayal of the average juicer. But as I said, I think it would be virtually impossible to keep my anonymity. So I'm out.
I just hope they don't get some young person that is irresponsible about it.

I hope they find someone and dont spin the show. It would be tragic if they did and I would be really upset for trying to help.

Even if they try to skew the facts, or edit the daylights out of the footage, wouldn't you all rather have an educated and mature steroid user on there. At least we would have a CHANCE at getting some real facts on there if we can provide them with their subject. I can see it going in a much worse direction. How bout we all have bad attitudes here and decide not to give them anyone. So they goto a local highschool and find a group of athletes who are juicin it up and acting like fools. Now THATS not gonna look too good in the eyes of the world. Just a thought...

To be honest.... they were looking for anyone 18-28
I told them that it would be a terrible idea to have ANYONE under the age of 23 doing the program. They agreed with me and that is why I have a little faith in them. I know that you all think I am crazy, but I would like to believe the person I talked to.

I too have a feeling that whoever ends up doing this is going to run into legal trouble shortly thereafter.

I think the person chosen will have to be careful, but not necessarily "flagged". But only that person will know. It just seems like the gov't have bigger fish to fry than ONE aas user (well hopefully anyway)

hope they pick the right guy, i'm in the same boat as most of you, not meeting the age requirement, but otherwise, ****, i'd be there. there was a show on a few weeks ago, it was called the untold, testosterone boys special. it was cool, there were 3 19 year olds that went to competition in pennsylvania, it showed pre-contest dieting and stuff. i hope that they'll do a show someday that i can be on. can't wait to see the true life episode, good luck man.

i would do it. i'm in canada so i think the risk would be a little less. as long as my name and face were not shown. i meet all the requirements. i would talk about how you should avoid when you're young. all my answers would be worded in a way so that there could not be editing to twist it. don't talk about the negative stuff so they can change the question on you in editing. i've had a troubled past but since committing to the gym and running gear i have turned it all around. crap i'm even a nicer guy when i'm on

As to the subject at hand. A lot of young teens watch this show, kids that will soon be running the country. To a lot of them, this will shape their views about steroids. That is why I think the person we chose, his character matters just as much as his stats. I would apply, but I do not qualify for the criteria. Good luck system admin, I know you will make the right choice.

Since its mostly youngster: I think the goal of the chosen person would be to make steroids out like they really are, safe wehn done correctly. Although it would be wise to maintain that it would be unwise for yonger people, less than 21, to use steroids .
steroids simply needs some positive truthful PR to counteract all the scardycats that lie about steroids.

I'd to it if I was 23+.
Maybe someone who isn't from the US would be able to do it? That way the government wouldn't be able to fry them ( assuming steroids are legal in their country).

We need someone who not only looks good, but who is also extremely intelligent and articulate. We don't want to live up to the cliche of the dumb meathead.

We also need someone who is naturally very charismatic, so that the story can revolve around his personality. This will give MTV a story they can run and get ratings with without resorting to the typical roid junkie thing. Study "Pumping Iron". Why does that movie work at all? Because of the personalities involved.
We need an Arnold.

The fact that they have follow everywhere like reality shows do would prolly piss me off. To be honest, even if they were gonna makes us look good the media and the general public were still not understand our lifestyle and reason we chose to do what we do. I don't think this segment is going to change the general public's mind to say "Oh they're not that bad afterall, it o.k to juice now". The fact is this lifestyle is gonna have a negative stigma on it regardless if it potrayed in good light or bad one. I think the best thing this segment can do is show the general public that not only bodybuilders or elite athelite juice but also the average joe (lawyer) juices as well. Another thing is to set the record straight on the side effects e.g roid rage , the penis shrinking. If it is done tastefully it would prolly educate people on the side effects but its not gonna be accepted either way.
