Longhorn - yes I WAS brainwashed by that crappy book!!! It is my biggest regret buying and readin it but I have got my money back now for it!

OK so - Im going to eat more, I did last week and my weight DID go up by 1kg or 2.2lbs. AND I dont think I gained any fat from that. I also think that the injectables had just started kicking in so thats another reason for the gain now. Also strength has gone up a little bit this week like I said above but only for definate in bench.

Anyway, guess I have no more to say.

    Thanks

    Darren

    My actual daily food breakdown

Right, Ive broke down my typical daily diet and put it on fitday to find out exactly what Im having - on a normal day! And at the end of it, coincidently enough, it came up to just over 5000cals - NOT including the carbs I have in my shake pre and post workout, also Ive just realised I missed out my 2 bananas and my apple that I have!

Heres a picture of it all for you to view and discuss -

    My Diet Breakdown

Let me know what you think - is it not enough to have been gaining weight ?? or is it too much so Im gaining fat ??

According to the calculations on that site, taking into account my job and lifestyle, on a normal working day without training, my cals needed are around 3700. On a day, like today, when I have done cardio and weights in 2 seperate sessions, my calorie needs are around 4700. I am eating 5400 including my bananas and apple so I am 700cals above my maintenance cals. Now, I only do cardio 3-4times per week so I can take around 300-400 cals off. That makes a normal day around 1000cals above maintenance which I think is enough to grow surely ???? Also, protein equals approx 400g so thats aroung 2g per pound of bodyweight.

maybe youre overtraining or you need to give your training routine a change. Your doses of gear arent that high either

I hear what you're sayin longhorn. Which leads me to a question that I have been meaning to ask. While on the steroids , how frequently should I train ?? I know that while off them, in order to grow you need a lot or rest days and only train 4days per week heavy weight max. I always thought that while on a cycle, the body is more anti-catabolic and can cope more with increased training ??

So, how often should I train heavy weights ?? I must admit, I am quite happy with my gains so far - especially considering my low dosages. I did go through a flat spot - hence this post i started, but I feel like Im gaining due to increased strength and better pumps in training and weight increase now.

So, if you could answer the above, Ill keep this post informed on my gains to the end of the cycle.

    Thanks

    Darren

you need to listen to your body. Your body grows when it rests, not when you train it. When you train, you tear down your muscle fibers. Remember rest is the most important. I usually train 4-5 days/week. When i train, i usually do between 10-15 reps on each set or until i fatigue my muscles. There's a difference between failure and fatigue. I dont lift near my max very often. To build muscle you really want to get as much of a pump and blood flowing into your muscle as possible. Look at powerlifters, most of those guys are big but dont have much muscle development, b/c they always train in the 1-5 rep range. That builds strength, but not muscle. Remember rest is the most important thing you can do to build muscle.

Just above like he said - fitday.com.

Its the first time ive used it, and I cant beleive how good it is! And for free!

Well thanks for the advice Longhorn. I dont mean to sound like a know it all, but I do realise what you say. I train at max fatigue everytime I train but sometimes I vary things so that I may be fatigued at high rep stuff rather than heavy weight. I also train extremely hard when not on cycle because theres no way me and my partner could go into the gym and not push it like we normally do - to above our limits. We'd feel like we're not putting the effort in !!

Anyway, Ill stick to things like I am doing for the rest of this cycle, even just to get strength up and also to see how it ends up. Then from there Ill see how my body reacted to it and maybe change the next time around.

    Thanks again

    Darren
