Anybody taken HCTZ for high bp?

My doc added 12.5mg HCTZ ed along w/ my 20mg Lisinopril. It's decreased my appettite and I feel like I'm going to puke when I eat half a meal.

Ya, it's a diuretic. Lots of water as always. Appettite seemed to be a little better today, not sure though.

I think you need to watch your potassium levels too.......I think HCTZ flushes potassium out the kidneys along with the water

I'm taking a multivitamin, I'll have to check the mineral content.

The Lisinopril says to NOT take a potassium supplement.

6wks ago at the doctor my bp read 204/90. Last Monday it read 150/75. That was after 5wks of 20mg Lisinopril ED.
