If youre bulking its okay, otherwise too many processed sugars and garbage.

I rely heavily on milk for protein and calories during a cycle, I drink about 3/4 of a gallon a day. Drinking calories is a hell of a lot easier than eating them.

I drink milk with my bedtime shake. I believe it slows down the absorbtion rate of the protein by the body. Gotta make that protein last until morning time!!

If you're bulking its good because its additional calories, but drop it while cutting, too much sugar in it...

I drink about a gallon a day . I have a hard time eating so much food . Milk instead of water is a great way to increase you daily calorie/protien intake .

Milk terrible for cutting, hurts cycle
For those of you saying milk is ok to drink, you may have been misinformed. If you are looking for that cut look, milk is a terrible chocie to include in your diet. In his book "The Bodybuilders Nutrition Book" champion body builder, doctor, and nutrionist, Franco Columbu states dairy products can sabotage the best training program in the world. "For bodybuilders, a diet high in yogurt can sabotage the best training program in the world. Yogurt, like most dairy products causes a layer of fat to form beneath the skin and results in a loss of definition. I came to realize this only after many years of competition. To reach my goal of pure muscularity without a trace of fat, it was necessary to give up yogurt. Therefore, I strongly reccomend eliminating it, along with other dairy products, from bodybuilding diets for one or two months before competitive events." Adults lack the quality of rennin found in the digestive systems of babies and small children that allow them to eat dairy products without any problems (Columbu, 8).
Hope this helps...Last edited by Georgie; 03-27-2005 at 05:28 PM.

Milk ****ing sucks, for cutting and bulking. It's liquid protien thats digested faster than food, and your body recieves more of the sugar from it than the protien, makes you look puffy as all hell. I only do fat free milk w/ whey powder PWO during a bulk phase. I've tried the gallon a day deal, did nothing for me like red meat or chicken protien. Veggies slow protien absorption down as well, I'd rather do 5 or 6 servings of meat with veggies during a bulk than all that milk. Just my .02

It really depends on the type of milk you drink. Skim milk has some good calories and protein in it, and zero fat. I get almost 700 calories and 70 grams of protein from milk every day, and zero grams of fat.

I love milk for the extra protein. I drink skim and 2%. I had to cut the amount down though. It really makes me feel bloated. Definately go with the skim if you can deal with it, if not, 2% is fine.
