Opinions?, Suggestions?

Ok so I got my boy some decabol (durabolin - BD) Some Test-E (BD)
and we are trying to figure out how many weeks to run the deca .
We know that we are running 12 weeks of enth 500mgs/wk
Now I have heard that deca should be run 1-8 weeks/ 400mgs
and I have also heard that 1-12 /400mgs
and I have heard 6-12 400mgs
What have you guys tried, or what has worked for you bros
He is my guinea for deca as this is his first cycle and I am currently on my 2nd cycle Test only. I know, I know its his first cycle and should only do test. But he is quite the athlete and wanted to brave a stack, what could I do.

Deca 1-10... always want to run the test longer than the deca.
