extremely low adrenaline
my adrenaline has been struggling so much that i could barely do anything.
I had a test done which showed it to be very low and seems to be affecting the thyroid.
my Dr showed me an article on Clonidine and how it boosts adrenaline and then said this it will boost my adrenaline and wrote a prescription.
but i have researched it and it seems it reduces adrenaline, i'm a little confused
so who is right, should i go to another Dr, and its there anything i could ask about prescription wise, thanx

always get a second or third or fourth oppinion.
Try some extreme sports.. like mountianeering, or bungee jumping or something like that, maybe those glands need a little exercise thats all

problem the adrenaline is so weak that when i do anything extreme it seem to take it out on other "glands" in order to cope, and that don't feel good

I am actually interested in this.. Anyone know more about the subject? To the author of the thread: do you have any diagnosed conditions, do you have low adrenalin only or does this apply to other hormones of the adrenal medulla (or cortex?)? What exactly did the doc say to you?

actually i had a 24 hur adrenaline test, it came back 30 with optimal range 80-140
It certainly been affect the thyroid.
For example when I'm training i feel weak and thyroid starts to swell liely because there is no adrenaline to give me energy, the body struggles to cope, nasty stiuation, will probably see a endro soon, unless anyuone has any ideas other then extreme sports

get into a fight...either get your arse kicked or have your body step it up...i think it would be a great motivator.

If you have low energy stores or whatever your thyroid wont swell up.

well my theory wouldfbe that adrneals are vital to the thyroid.
therfore when the adrenal gland is low in functioning, the thyroid struggles to cope, when the body is stressed and the adrnealine is used up and the thyroid is further stressed.
increasing adrenaline allows the whole body to function correctly again and supplies enough energy to cope with day to day stress and the thyroid gland is obviously supported.
I think low adrenaline can affect everything
