    STARTING CLOMID & HCG

    HEY GUYS WHATS HAPPINING? I WAS JUST WONDERING WHEN I SHOULD START MY CLOMID, AND IF I SHOULD DO SOME HCG WITH IT. MY SCENARIO IS THIS IM GETTING OFF THE FIRST WEEK IN SEP. AND MY WIFE WANTS TO GET PREGNANT. SHOULD I START MY HCG AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OR JUST WAIT. OR WHATS THE BEST WAY TO RUN THEM BOTH? THANX FOR THE HELP.

    HCG will definetly ramp up your sperm count!!! But it will supress LH, therefore dont take it with the clomid. Personally, I would use clomid alone for pct. Then get an adropause panel done through your doc, and see where your levels are at. If sperm count is low, use the HCG.

    HCG Does NOT supress LH unless the person it use for a long time (more than 2-3 weeks) with high doses (2500 IU every 4th or 5th day is optimal).

    Any application of exogeneous hormones will cause a negative feedback within the body. HCG mimics LH, and as long as HCG is in your body, your LH will decrease. I agree with your statement about "longterm"(2-3weeks), therefore using HCG for the first week of pct may be beneficial, but longer than that will continue the suppression of LH.

    On the other hand, if his sperm count is too low after his pct, HCG would be a great idea. It does wonders with treatment of fertility.

    sperm count being low after a steroid cycle is given.

    so a combination of Clomid and low dose HCG (1000-2000 IU every 5 days) is a great PCT
