Medrol - Corticosteroids help needed

my doctor suggested i try Medrol today. he said a couple of things that i didnt think were right. he said:

1. medrol is anabolic and not catabolic
2. while corticosteroid shots may cause degeneration of muscle tissue, oral corticosteroids tablets will not.

is this correct?
