what is the best way to open an amp

I score them around the top with a razor and then just break them off. Some are touger than others. Sometimes I may fold up a paper towel many times to hold on to the bottom of the amp so that I am not squeezing it with my fingers while I am breaking the top off. Once you get the hang of it, it isn't too difficult.

You can also buy and amp opener, or use a pen lid. Place the lid over the amp and snap it off. Personally, I use a paper towel.

Score the top and hold the actual amp lightly. Too much pressure may break the amp in between your index finger and thumb. You can use a regular metal nail file or I prefer to use the so called "amp opener" that comes in the Jin kits. Amp openers can be bought on many sites as well.

i broke on and some glass went into the amp is there any way it can go up the niddle i'm using 22 gage

DEFINITELY throw that away. Don't risk anything just for an amp worth a couple of bucks...............
