what happens when you hit a nerve?

im doing my first injection tomorrow and ive heard of people hitting a nerve and messing up there bodies. Ive been reading and saw that it just makes your body parts jump. I will be injecting myself in the quad tomorrow and want to know if i do hit a nerve...what to expect?

It's an uncomfortable feeling. I just take it out and re-shoot a little farther away. No biggie.

You will jump like f uck basically. It does not happen very often though, in fact I have never hit one directly but I have had plenty of big tingles.

I usually just hit nerves in my quads. That's it.

and as long as im careful with clean hands and sterile equipment i shouldnt have to worry about abcess?

I used this as referance for injecting(im a 1st timer too).. Use the crest of your medius as a guide and i don't think you should have a prob with nerves or anything.



Also no one told me but you will get some resistance once you are through the fat and trying to enter the muscle. Just push a little harder

i hit them almost everytime i do quads if u stab it in fast it will hurt like hell if u go slow the muscle will start twitching just pull it out change pins and move over a bit. its not a big deal! now in ur glutes if u hit ur sciatic u will probably drop to the floor if u just happen to inject into it u can permanently damage the nerve.

Sciatic runs in the maximus more than anything else.. If you do the uper outer medius then you should be fine.

It's not as big deal as everyones makes it out to be. Last time i hit a nerve, my entire right glute started to twitch rapidly, i didnt bother pulling it out i just injected anyway, nothing happened, went smooth. Aslong as blood doesn't shoot into the syringe when you aspirate , you're good to go.

my muscles have twitched a few times when injecting as long as it doesnt hurt though i just keep going, doesnt mean that ur hitting a nerve just because ur muscle may twitch!
