Protein cannot be stored in the body and the excess is eliminated in urine and feces. If you are working out heavy, you should be fine because you are using most of it to build up muscle and the excess is eliminated.
    Completely untrue, no offense.

But actually high protein intake should be cycled. Though it's not exactly stored by the body (except of course as fat if too many unused calories are taken in), protein which is harder to digest (from food, not supplements) in excessive amounts can wreck havoc on your lymphatic system (the system responsible for cleansing the entire body), healthy lymph fluid is clear, but if the system is stalled it becomes milky, then yogurt-like, then cottage cheese-like. Fortunately this process is reversible. Additionally, if not cycled it is far more likely to fall into pockets, which are essentially traps scattered throughout the lower digestive region. This is where partially digested material can be stuck/stored indefinitely. Remember the quote about John Wayne's autoposy, "42 pounds of fecal matter in his intestine... ", well anyone that knows even a little about anatomy and physiology would be able to refute such falsities. But the pockets do exist and though the body often cleans them (even if temporary constipation is necessary) they can multiple affect systems. What happens to your car if exhaust can’t get out, same principle.

Too much of anything can be bad for you…water (hyponatremia, aka water intoxication)…oxygen (excessive free radicals, then cancer)…ANYTHING!

    WITH ONLY ONE EXCEPTION...

Sweet. Thanks. So since I'm 7'5" 500 lbs and 4% body fat, I should consume at least 720 grams of protein per day.
    Thanks. jk.
