    delt vs glute

    ok right now i am doing all delt shots like i said before and people say i need to rotate so im gonna go and rotate glutes now....i feel no pain at all in the delt shots while the needles going in unless its still sore from a previous shot and the afterpain doesnt come until like 12 hours later...so now with glute shots how do they feel going in...same,less, or worse then the delts? thanks for all the input,,i dont really care that much about afterpain i have plenty of motrin if it gets bad haha

    hey bro, the glutes are generally the spot of choice for many people as far as Intramusclar injections are concerned. Its a relativly large muscle, with few nerves and few blood vessels. To me its one of the most painless injection spots.

    delts are easy but in my opinion glutes are the easiest. quads are what scares me.

    I inject everywhere..

    Just keep telling repeating to yourself as u inject "this is the stuff of champions" "this stuff will help u achieve your goals" "this is the ultimate man creation"
    or maybe i'm just crazy lol
    U feel no pain, and u get the job done.. don't forget to massage for a minute afer done, and ofcourse aspirate .

    The more you inject, the easier it gets. Obviously any time that you hit a new spot it may cause a bit of tension in you because you have never hit that spot before, but it will come and go. Just do it in a sterile way and you are cutting out most possibilities of having any problems.

    Glutes and Quads r easiest for me, delts are cool but damn if u go anything higher thsn 5/8" or 1" ouch

    i stick with glutes and quads as well. i just feel too much in my shoulders when i inject and don't feel comfortable doing it. i feel it the least in my glutes, but quads are fine with me too.

    the thing that turned me off of delt injections was after i had injected sust into one. went in fine, but the next day my delt was so ridiculously sore! it was literally throbbing with pain for the next 2 days. i tried working out, but my shoulder would literally give out on me. haven't injected my delt since.

    You know what man just do every muscle. What is there to be scared about in any given muscle? For a muscle to work it needs a nerve to innervate it, thus there is a nerve the innervates every single muscle in your body, therefore in ANY given muscle you could get close to/hit a nerve. I dont really think its more or less likely going into certain muscle. And yes U can have an idea about where the nerve is on the body like the sciatic when you are injecting into glutes, but there is also your inferior gluteal nerve etc...So just man up and inject into different body parts. You are breaking though your skin in any inection site, that pain is the same to me regardless of the site. So IMO there is no site that is more or less painful in terms of pricking yourself.

    I used to be really uneasy with injections...but originally started in the quads. Then I moved on the the glutes and were surprized by how easy it was...then I started to include the delts... and now I do it wherever I can -> even calves, pecs..hey they are all muscles and they get the job done!
