what happened to the "6-week switch" cycles?

been a while since i've done a cycle, and back when i used to do them it seemed more common to do one kind of gear for about 6 weeks, then switch to totally different compounds for the next 6 weeks. the reasoning was that it was supposed to help prevent receptor downgrade that comes from using the same thing for a long period of time. why is it those kind of cycles have seem to died and everyone seems to stay on the same stuff the whole way through the cycle?

Depends more on the ester that is attached to the compound being used IMO. Obviously you'd want to run Deca or Enanthate longer than 6wks. Prop/Winny/Dbol would be ok for 6wks..

i thought receptor downgrade was more of a myth than proven factual?
