    Very odd quad shot yesterday

I was shooting a total of 3cc's of test e/eq mix and put the needle into my quad and aspertated as I normally do, saw a bubble come into the syringe and proceeded to inject. I was sitting there waiting for the stuff to slowly go in and just as I was at the end of the injection, I glanced down at the syringe and saw a drop of blood floating in the syringe so I stopped and pulled the needle out. There was barely any juice in the syringe, so I pushed the plunger and saw the blood come out of the needle.

I have no idea how/when the blood got in there unless I passed through a vein and the needle picked it up on the way in. I do know that once I was done with the injection, the back of my throat felt itchy and I had a very mild cough. The cough only lasted for a few minutes. It was nothing major. I have no pain whatsoever in my quad either from the injection which if I would have passed through a vein, you would think that today there would be some soreness.

Yeah, it had to be on the way out if you aspirated. There is suction in the syringe after you inject and it soemtimes draws blood on the way out. As long as you aspirate before every injection you'll be fine.

I had the same thing happen on a glute injection. It was just like one drop of blood and it also happened right at the end of the injection. It was actually in the plastic part of the needle where it attaches to the syringe. Didn't result in any problems.
