Smashed in the shoulder with a baseball bat
This is my first cycle to include injectible (Test E). I have never stuck myself with a needle so I am looking for some feedback.
So far I have injected 2 ml of test. 1cc in each delt. 3 days between injections. I used the Prentice Hall guidelines for administering intramuscular medication. I followed it very closely. I used 2 seperate needles. One to draw med and another to inject. Injected with 1" 23 guage 3cc syringe. I warmed the test by soaking it in warm water for a few minutes to make it easier to draw with 23g needle. Cleaned injection site with alcohol pad.
Problem is:
48 hours days after lastinjection, I feel like I got smashed in the shoulder with a baseball bat. Is this normal??
Only thing I did not do was to massage the shoulder after injecting. Prentice Hall stated not to do this.
Anyway, make me feel all warm and fuzzy by telling me this is normal. Thanks.

Yes first time injectors will get some pretty heavy pain in the area's that were stuck. Do not worry this is normal, and the pain will dissipate as you get further along the way in your cycle, and eventually it will be nothing more than a minor nuisance. I remember my first cycle of winny+prop it felt like I took a bullet to the ole' bum for the first 4 weeks or so, but it eventually went away and I was fine. Work through it and dont skip out on those squat days, NO PAIN NO GAIN!!!

sounds like you did everything right.
try injecting very very slow. ( this makes all the difference in the world for me)
also keep the needle as steady as possible. otherwise you are just going to be tearing up muscle with the needle.
advil will help alot with the pain.

Prentice Hall advises a "quick dart-like jab"
I do it slow...
Otherwise, sounds kosher.
Pain should lessen as you get more adept at shooting

And i like to stick it in nice and slow too for some reason... even when i try the dart action as soon as it touches my skin i stop and go nice and slowwwwwwwww.. guess im scared of hitting something lol

Also try using a 25G for your delt. That'll definitely help.

use 25gauge, 23 is a little big for delts imo. and like narcossis said, smooth push of the needle in, no jabbing... -STEELE

For some reason I get no pain at injection site too. I've shot prop at 100mgs/day for almost 2 months without a issue. Winny was fine even though you can feel the milky stingen ya a lil on the way in. Some people just react different. But the quick jab is the way to go. If you do it right you don't even feel the pin break the skin.
