as far as ghb, not all of us are so lucky as to be able to find that, but honestly, i'd recommend that to anyone who can get their hands on it long before drinking alcohol.

all he needed to say was something along the lines of yes you can drink, but it will seriously hinder your gains. if he chooses to hinder his gains and feels drinking is an integral part of him enjoying himself, that alone indicates some issues that need to be dealt with.
personally, back in high school when i used to lift, i was the biggest (in more ways than one) partier in my school, and i didn't drink save for maybe 3 or 4 times a year, if that! you don't need to drink to enjoy yourself unless you need the alcohol as an escape from yourself. not saying drinking can't be enjoyed, but in moderation. you just have to decide where your priorities lie?
just one last thing though. though i obviously don't completely disagree with your opinion liftnainez, your comment was about as productive as his. there's a way to more positively critique others comments, and yours is flaming, which is against the rules of this board. try to keep it civil bro, cause you know a comment like yours is just going to start issues.

That being my assumption.. NO!
Alcohol consumption will hinder your post-cycle recovery.
ALCOHOL AND THE TESTES
Most studies of alcohol's effects on male reproduction have been conducted in rats because the rat model mimics the human male reproductive system. Research has demonstrated that both acute and chronic alcohol exposure are associated with low levels of hypothalamic LHRH and pituitary LH in the adult (Cicero 1982; Salonen et al. 1992) and pubertal male rat, and further studies have suggested that alcohol inhibits testosterone secretion by the testes as well (Little et al. 1992). For example, several studies have examined alcohol's effects on testosterone synthesis, which occurs via the testosterone biosynthetic pathway. This pathway consists of a series of steroid precursors of testosterone and the respective enzymes necessary to synthesize each precursor from the previous one (Hadley 1988) (see figure 2). For several reasons related to differences in experimental design, it is not possible to conclude precisely where alcohol acts in the testosterone synthetic pathway, although it seems likely that more than one site of action exists.

drinking while on gear, anti-e's, etc has been a subject beaten more than a dead horse in these forums. a simple search of the threads for alcohol is all that is necessary to find all the answers anyone would ever need. honestly, i really don't know why i even comment on these questions anymore beyond indicating that.
it's sad that alcohol is needed so much by so many that it's asked about more than any other subject in here. i think a lot of people need to find a better way to entertain themselves on the weekends than going out just to drink.

I remember reading somewhere when you have a hangover you increase estrogen circulating in the body. Just a thought for the gyno prone who are cycling androgens that aromotase heavily.
