    torn bicep

hey guys, just had surgery on wed. the 10th. repaired (re-attached) my left bicep tendon. it was the bottom one that tore - bic. was up near my shoulder... just wanted to check with some of you on my recovery. i will not be in the gym for a good while of course as far as the torn left side( will probably hit the hell out of my legs and go very light and limmited on right side) wanted to know if i should cycle at all? thought there might be some positives in doing so. no i will not be working the injured side but thought a little deca or test may help in the healing process????????? please feel free to tell me anything you think would be good or bad. thanks. oh yeah, i have done just about everything for a good while now (8yrs) so yes i have expierence. 28yrs old. 5' 10" 208lbs 5% bf

i would not cycle, nor would i workout. I partially tore my right tricep last week, so i know how you feel. What sucks is that i was 4 weeks into a nice cycle. My doctor told me if i workout too soon, im going to end up tearing off the bone. I know the pain your going through sucks, and mentally, you probably feel down, but you must thinking positively. Just remember, often times after injuries, your body is well rested, which allows you to come back even stronger. Good luck Bro

yeah i figure if i do any lifting it will just be leg presses and pretty light for reps. all i was really wondering was if any test or deca would possibly help the recovery along.

    Fellow Sufferer

Hey bro sorry to hear about your injury. I would not juice though.

I went for a year with my tendon was about 20% attached, the constant pain sucked in my forearm but lack of insurance was a bitch. Anyway last November had the DR. go in, cut it off, clean it up, and re-attach it. He said it looked like the fringe on a rug, all frayed. You are in for a long road with your recovery, but whatever you do, take your therapy seriously. I took mine pretty seriously but my when my wrist got full range of motion again, I cranked way back on the exercises for my wrist. Now 6-7 months later I feel like my wrist is arthritis-ridden like a 83 year old woman. Elbow sometimes too.

Anyway don't get down, I got frustrated and lazy and stopped going to the gym even for cardio. Really packed on some nice fat too. Stick with it, the longer I go the more tricks I am learning to sneak workouts by my elbow and wrist before they know what is happening.

I have about 10 yrs juice experience (off and on, not competitive) I am 33, 5'10" 230lbs, more bf than I like to say, but looking back on it juicing right now is not the way to go. I just started my first post-op cycle and man does it feel good! Strength in most exercises are within 10% to pre-op, excluding biceps exercises and upright rows (how I tore it.)

PM if you want to discuss more.
