    Heart Palpatations

Hey Bros I know this isn't a medical board and I'm not asking why I have them, as I know they are stress related. I just wanted to know if any of you have had them and if anyone has found a way to limit them. I actually have PVC, (not dangerouse, just annoying as hell) and while on juice it seems to come out more due to the intense training and stress with hormones. Any suggestions?

how is your caffeine intake? Drinking too much caffeine cause heart palpitation. High Blood pressure is one thing to be considered also.

Did your doctor diagnose you with having PVC's? Did you have a stress EKG. ultra sound, or nuclear imaging done?

exactly what kind of palpitations are you getting? palpitations are very generalized and there are many different kinds?

the most common palpitation is the extrasystole, or premature contraction. what happens is the heart contracts prematurely, then very briefly pauses to "reset" itself, and the next beat is usually harder than normal. the most telltale sign of this one is to feel your heartbeat and if during one of your palpitations you get a quick two beats in a row, followed by a short pause, then a hard beat and back to normal rythmn again, that's just a premature contraction. though they can feel quite uncomfortable due to the heart "resetting" itself with that extra forceful contraction, they tend to be harmless.

almost everyone gets them occasionally and in almost all cases are absolutely safe and nothing to worry about. excessive stress can definitely increase the amount of them you have, but they should be of no concern whatsoever. i get them all the time personally and i've become quite used to them. yes, i live a very stressful life and need to learn to chill.

Yeah they suck. Funny thing...when I was on the tread with all the shit hooked up to me I had three chicks in the room making comments while I had my shirt off...felt like a piece of meat! It took forever to get my heart rate up to I think they stopped at 180. All checked out well. I found to get rid of my palps I pop one asprin and take a hot bubble bath and it's gone almost as soon as I lay back. I know it sounds gay...but it works! Thats how I know it is stress. The warm water relaxes the blood vessels and thus eases the heart.. Good luck bro and keep us posted on what happens.

I took several EKG's, a flash ekg, ultrasound, and stress test and they said I have PVC. Said I have another track that activates and thus two signals create the palp. It suck, but I go 4 months or so without and then wham...

I hear ya on the chill out thing. I own two company's and stress alot. I get PVC's and over the last 6 months have been maybe 1 or 2 palps a week if that, but prior to that I'd get them for 12 hours straight to where I could not get out of bed without feeling like I would pass out. They were very bad. I started a new cycle a few weeks ago and last week I had some that lasted several hours..not too intense as to me passing out, but enough to where it takes my breath away often. I started taking some Xanax and it has gone away so I think the gear is causing my body to tense up and put stress on me. I get a missed beat, followed by 2 or three fast beats, and then when I actually get a steady rythm going, it races for a while and makes me very tired. Last night I played tennis and was fine for 2 hours, but when I stopped and drank water at the end they hit hard. SUCKS ...thanks bro
