drawing from a vial multiple times????

    Quick question.

It occurred to me that after drawing from the same vial several times with a needle, is there any chance it would leak (assuming everything else is done correctly...drawing, etc.)

You are, after all punching a bunch of small holes into the same rubber top?

    Thanks,

    GP

No it wont leak if you use a 20g needle. The rubber goes right back into place. Just try not to stick in teh same spot all teh time. If you use a 18g needle that can start to leak. The needle just kills the rubber stoper.

Also, some of the larger vials (50ml) will leak a few drops here and there after piercing them so many times. That's why it may be good to transfer them to smaller sterile vials.
