why take off time from cycles?

just wondering why people stress such a need to spend an equal amount of time off gear as on? i mean, i know one of the biggest concerns is keeping your own test production shut down for that long. however, at 28, i personally think my test levels are pretty shot anyway. at minimum, they're not nearly where i'd want them to be. i miss the sex drive i had when i was younger, and i'm just curious as to what other side-effects are increased when using gear for prolonged periods of time?

Cholesterol, triglycerides, bp, etc etc....Those are the silent killers. When those levels are screwed, you are no better than a fat person.

The other thing is that even though your test levels may be low...You're still producing test. Not sure if children are in your future, but HRT makes that a little difficult.

lessening my own production is reason enough for me.

well, i'd think adding in cutting phases with decent amounts of cardio and taking flax oils regularly may very well be able to keep cholesterol levels down, but i guess that depends on the person. worse came to worse, there's always cholesterol lowering meds, right?

anyway, if i do decide to do longer or year-round cycling, i do plan to get bloodwork done regularly (every 4-5months). not something i'm saying i'm doing, just considering down the road and looking into.

as far as children, does hrt really make it that much harder to have children? i know a buddy of mine who got his wife pregnant while on a pretty hefty cycle and their kid came out in great health and 5 years later, she's doing great. i mean, i'd definitely like to have kids in a couple more years, but other than that i have no concerns about my own test levels considering they're crap compared to what they were back in the day and don't do me much good anymore for either bodybuilding or a sex drive (at least a sex drive that i'd be satisfied with like one from a cycle).

Even people that are ON year round, STILL take time off to cruise...That way they can get those other levels (cholesterol, etc) back to normal. I'm not sure what you meant by cutting phases though.

A cycle doesn't gurantee that your sterile...But going on test for life could very well lead to sterility.

And results eventually slow.....Why? We still don't have the answer. AR dowregulation, SHBG?????

right, of course i was considering cruising times and not continuous heavy use. sorry, i failed to mention that. as far as cutting phases, i just meant phases to get leaner with high amounts of cardio that would help to lower cholesterol levels and maintain better overall health.

as far as results slowing, that doesn't really surprise me and that was something i was wondering about as well. now, does results slowing come with people that use cruising phases as well, or just those using heavier doses year round?

We're starting to get into a territory that I don't know a whole lot about...

Cruising would also allow people to get results on the next increase in dosages...

As far as running heavier dosages year round...I have no idea. But I would assume they would continue to gain 20-30 poumds every couple months.

I just don't see the point in doing that to your body unless your trying to become a professional. What happens if you have to go on hrt for life and in 10 years your priorities change, now you're stuck on weekly injections just to feel human.

I know what you're talking about, I wouldn't mind being on 200mg of test a week for the rest of my life. But I might not feel that way later on. Then it will be a little too late. I just feel that unless your trying to compete, why spend thousands of dollars just to be on cycle year around. How big do you need to be. That seems kind of like an addiction to me. Hope that doesn't offend anyone.

No such thing has been proven to my knowledge. Supposed to have more to do with SHBG levels etc.

From what I've read, i agree.

But for me, it's been more about just getting burned out (like menioned above). I just need a break after a while.
