Damn!...that does sound outrageous...what did you all get checked out?

A typical blood panel for me is usually under $200, and insurance covers about 80% of that.

I got some blood work done last year and the bill was over a grand. I needed it done for some health problems I was having, but I didn't have insurance so I got screwed royally. Talk about getting kicked while your down.

Then put your finger up HER ASS... Maybe the whole fist.... to the elbow
You got waaay overcharged. You can always go on the freindly payment plan. Next time get pricing for various lab orders. Talk to your doc.

    ....

Thats sucks man... next time you need it done, just go apply for life insurance. In Canada the physical and bloodwork are paid for by the Insurer and since it is in the best interest of the insurer to make sure you are not dying of anything, they do the most indepth bloodwork.
Mine came back so good that I got a reduction off the highest health rating premium, and did I mention it was FREE

Well the check up was 150.00, then they send the blood work out to a lab, then the lab sends you a bill.. So two different bills..
