Do protective supplements interfere with steroid effects?

May sound stupid but I just simply am not sure.....

    For example:

Is it possible that liver protective supps like liv-52, milk thistle etc "protect" the liver by actually reducing the steroids effectiveness in the process ?

Or what about cholesterol and blood pressure supps/meds, can they possibly interefere with a steroids absorption or something of that nature, in order to exhibit their positive effects ?

I know this is generalizing it quite a bit considering there are many different types of any given supplement but, please, help me out if you can.

Im not positive but i think all those supplements are beneficial during cycle, but then again not all users can afford proper supplements during cycle along with bloodwork,

i always use protective supps on cycle and during PCT as well,

about the BP meds, catapres wased used a while back to increase GH levels as well, taken first thing in the morning and a larger dose a night before bed...

interesting question, I doubt most BP meds or chol meds inhibit the steroids effects or absorption directly (not too much at least). but might they in some other way make the cycle a lil less effective.. who knows... Anyway the difference prolly aint that big anyway...

another example b6 vitamin acts as an anti-androgen also.. but ppl taking large doses of b6 havent noticed any effect on their cycle (and neither did I). So absolute quantitative answers for this question u are asking are really hard to find.. maybe some one here knows or has lots of personal experience.

Actually, elsewhere on the internet, people are reporting that B6 messed up their cycle. I'm not sure if you're a member of SSB, but if you do a search there, you'll find that people reported B6 screwed up more than one cycle.

Hey Skullsmasher, hope you don't mind me asking, but are you on BP meds normally or were you thinking of taking them as a precaution?

Only as a precaution. My BP is 118/65-70 I think, normally. On cycle it has been 180/80 if I remember correctly.

My cholesterol has never been a problem but I want to take precautions.

My liver values were suposedly elevated twice @ a "77" and "75" . I am not sure how high this is.

Some do and some don't, but Milk thistle DOES!!! It contains silymarin (70% being the only one that really helps) that will block toxins (things that damage or stress the liver beyond normal) and thus stiffle your gains. Just wait till you are done and use it, as it has regenerating ability that can restore a severly damaged liver, even in the cirrhosis stage. This would be even more true using orals, but if you don't care about losing the 2nd pass then use it.

At 180 on cycle I would look for something to bring it down. Before I got on BP meds I used Onion juice and honey, It helped allot. Do a goggle search and you'll see the combo allot.

For the liver, make sure the test shows the good cholesterol levels. Once off a cycle the bad will lower them self but the good is more trying to correct.

Have you tried Hawthorne Berry extract for your BP? Worked very well for me. I think there is some evidence that says it can also raise BP, but everyone I talk to says it brought it down.

There was a study over at SSB that explained that Milk Thistle is supposed to limit gains. Or I think it it did... See I couldn't really understand it, and the last time I asked here, no one else could understand it either.

Maybe Mr. Roberts saw that study, by any chance?

Yes...I always like to add suppliments cautiously & in a manner that there impact (if any) can be realized...Sometimes the intended benifit is less than an unwanted side...I didn't care for Milk-thistle myself either, Mr. beachbum...
