    Cardio and AAS

Hey guys, I have a quick question about doing cardio while on AAS...I used to be big into running and now am primarily trying to bulk up but am interested in doing some interval training ie. sprints to reduce BF%

My question is what effects will the AAS have on my heart if I am pushing it to roughly 85% max HR 3-4 times weekly? Can AAS have the same effects on cardiac tissue as skeletal, thus possibly leading to cardiac hypertrophy (BAD!) What is anyone's take on this? Thx in advance

    6'3, 213 lbs, 22yrs old, lifting 6 years, 12-13% BF

I haven't seen much talk of this... I have heard that taking aas does make your heart grow so I would assume that making the heart work harder would make it grow much faster. I dont know what everyone else thinks of this but I plan on not doing ANY cardio on cycle.

    running

While I don't have a definitive answer for you, my input is just that while on cycles (generally test e or sust, but sometimes deca too) I "feel" a little more "winded". It just seems as if I am breathing harder doing this cardio while on cycle versus off cycle. I sometimes wear heart rate monitors and they show no difference on versus off cycle.

I will also ad that during cycles of anavar I actually feel less winded doing cardio, which makes sense since anavar increases red blood cell count.

The running that I do both off and while on cycle is always "interval type" training. 60 to 90 minutes of cardio (normally on the treadmill but sometimes outdoors) 4 times per week. I am trying to build up to a half marathon. I am also similar in size to you (6'4 and 235 and roughly 14% BF)

At my physical check ups everything checks out fine as well. I have been doing the long duration cardio and interval training for several years now.

Depends on the compound, and intensity of cardio.
