ok, i went to walmart about 5 minutes after i finished cardio......when i got there i decided to take my blood pressure.....my readings were bad......i was 145/70...and heart rate was 106......however my big question is if i was still pumped up from the gym, would this affect my bp because i know for a fact my normal heartrate is not 106, so i am wondering if those readings are probably wrong....? welll, plz give me feed back because i am a little concerned....thnx.....

Bro,If you want an accurate reading go see your doctor...I'm sure your BP was even higher when you saw the reading.

First of all while on cycle that is not a bad reading. Second of all the Walmart BP machines are notoriously bullshit. As Bigmax says, go to a Dr for an accurate reading

Bro you cant go by that. you just got done working out. See a doc and have him check it.

your bp reading isnt that bad bro, I have my bp taken by nurses every week at work and mine runs 138 to 145 over 74 to 82. The top number is alittle high and just alittle, your bottom is great. If you are worried I would go get it checked by a doctor. Those machines in the stores are usually off.

Yeah, I never trust those things at Wal-Mart. The readings are all over the map. Potassium works good for me at controlling BP.

145/70 or whatever is nothing to worry about hitting 140 systolic is considered "hypertensive" and your barely over....diastolic(bottom number) is more important, lets u know how much your heart is "resting" between beats and 70 is perfect...wouldn't be worried bro

Actually, 5 minutes PWO I'd say your numbers are actually excellent - a 145 5 minutes PWO is not hypertensive, that is an at rest metric. This number actually implies excellent recovery and strong cardiovascular health.
But then again, that was WalMart, so maybe it was really 165/100

Often in some users, systolic and HR goes up after using test. If that instument was accurate?? then that would be ok as your diastolic was fine. Anyway, see your doc, you should anyway on aas
