newbie, dont bash too hard please
ok guys and gals, ive been researching this stuff for a while, or at least trying to and im having a hard time peiceing it all together and getting it to flow in my head. I know im going to be asked about my diet, weight, tranning and my age. I would consider myself pretty cut and strong for my size. I now i am only 18 and that should dicourage me from using and that is what you all will tell me, but i feel and the people i train with (who are alot bigger and also use) tell me that i am ready. I have been training for 4 years and i push my self hard, very hard. one problem i weigh a feather weight of 131 pounds, my dad weighs that and NO one in my family weights over 140. I wrestle, so i eat and diet all the time and never have to cut weight to make a class i am always tring to gain it to move up. My measurments are Bi-cep=13 chest=36 waist=30 thigh=20 and caf=14. ive been all nat. since now and am looking at a simple cylce like test. To let you know how strong i am i bench 275 once and curl 50lb dumb bells 5 times in each arm, i squat 315. The reason i want to try gear is to put some weight on and get stronger. I havent gained strength for about 6-7 months in any lift and i feel i have hit a platue, could you all help me out!!!! sorry for the long drawn out shpeel but i dont want u to think i am a casual lifter and am looking for the quick fix, thanks guys dont bash me too hard just trying to figure all this complicated stuff out

Whats your diet like? How "hard" do you eat?

you really are too small.
saying that you can't gain weight is evidence that gear is not for you. you need to understand the principles of gaining while OFF, to gain while ON.
give me an example of your diet like this:
7:00am
2 pieces of toast
9:30am
chicken breast.
get the idea? write it out like that. that will allow us to help

well in the morning i eat at 6 cause i have to be at school by seven, ill eat two scoops of oatmeal, i go to two classes, come home and eat at 8:45 something like- a gronola bar and protien shake, at 10:30 Ill eat a quiznos or subway chiken carbonara foot long. then ill go to work and eat lunch at 12:30 and have a hamburger or somthing simple, no pop. (yes i know two lunches but ive had lunch at 10:30 in school always tell this year and i guess it just stuck) 2 or 3 o'clock ill have a gronola bar or two sometimes, 5:30 i eat dinner like steak, cottage cheese, massed potatos, green beans, and glass of milk. 7:30 eat whatever is left over and then around 9:30 or 10 ill eat 1 scoop of oatmeal and go to sleep for school next day, is that bad>??

Damn! Your max bench is 275 at 135?! That is pretty good. I think my max was 155 at your age and weight.

well it ain't good enough.
you need to eat every 2-3hrs religiously. and every meal should contain around 20 grams of protein. i could go on forever. but the basics are covered in the diet and training forums.
check them out and read those sticky's.

1) You know we all are going to tell you the health risks of gear before you are done with puberty, right? Your body is a hormonal wreck right now, your natty test is higher now that it will EVER be again in your life. Once you hit about 25 its going to be a steady decline from there.
2) Your "friends" need to be replaced if they are trying to get you on gear at 18. Your "friends" obviously do not have the vast amount of knowledge on gear that I *PROMISE* you will find here.
No one will talk you out of it if you let yourself subcomb to the peer pressure. However, I am telling you as a "friend" to stay away from it for a couple years. Eat eat eat eat and bust your ass in the gym. Size will come. Your natty test is just beginning to "kick in." Don't risk perm. damage to your endocrine system just because your "friends" say you are ready. You are not.
I didn't stop "filling out" until I was nearly 24. So at 18, you still have pleanty of time to get bigger if you maintain a good diet and solid work outs.

oh i belive him, i guess i just get disscouraged while lifting cause some other friends of mine are alot bigger then me and i lift more (friends not on gear) but they are making more gains and i have just kind of hit a hard spot i guess

yes, you are like me, a hard gainer.
this means you will have to work harder and have much more commitment than the other fellows who can just gain huge arms by curling their coffee mugs.
with my solid diet, i managed to pack on 44 lbs in 9 months
trust me. diet is first, then rest, then training, then right at the end once everything is done, gear.

Like massive said, throw anything you know about food out the window, because its wrong. Follow some of these sample diets around here until you learn the facts behind what they are doing. Then you can switch things up to better suit your taste. You just have to know what you are switching around and why.
And don't shy away from lean beef because you think chicken is better. Lean beef (unless you are from india and worshop cows) is ful of great enzymes and protiens and helps boost your natty test too. I HATE chicken. I eat it, ut it is so boring.
