Rubber stopper pieces in gear

Drained some sachets today using an 18.5 gauge pin. Filtered it with a .2 whateman into some vials, and noticed that there were some pieces of the rubber stopper in the juice.
Is it neccesary to filter again or could I use the gear as long the stopper peice doesn't go up in the needle. It floats to the the bottom so I can swirl it around and make it stick to the inner wall of the vial while I am drawing juice out.

Filter again. I do not want pieces of rubber to SLOWLY decompose in my muscle tissue. Not a good look.

If you can filter again for sure. There was a time when I first started cycling that I was using an 18g as a drawing needle which would eventually cause pieces of stopper to fall in. I noticed it in the syringe once as I was about to do my shot and actually kept shooting making sure that the peice stayed at the other end of the barrrel!! Not recommended for sure but I can probably assume that I had other pieces go into the muscle since upon closer inspection I found a bunch of smaller pieces in the vial. I now use a 23g to draw just to be safe.

def put it in a new vial/. not too safe when u think about it and wouldnt want anything to happen

just suck it through a 21 gauge needle, it will take awhile, and avoid the rubber. you don't want a surgeon digging through your muscle to find a cm of rubber, your body will reject that rubber and your muscle will be useless after that.

I was using an 18g needle, and I believe it is from when I poked the stopper.
At least I hope so. But it came out with the first squirt as did the same thing when I was filling up a couple of other vials

You have over used the stopper. It's well passed it's used by date so ditch it after you filter your gear. This is why I store my sachet gear in 10ml syringes.

Go ahead and refilter. This time, use a 25 ga to transfer into the new vial. Use a caulking gun so you can "set it and forget it". The point of the caulking gun is so that you can put a little pressure at a time without feeling rushed and your hands aching.

I was using 20ml vials, but I didnt really think there would be too many problems so I only ordered a few 10ml's as backup. I need to get some more filters and vials I suppose.
So you think the stopper was old?

Not really...I think you punched the shit out of it with that "harpoon" they call the 18 ga.

No matter, I was just curious about the size. I used to like 50ml jugs, but even using a 25ga, ED punches left the stopper a wreck by the time I was done with it.

In the meantime, just be careful with that vial.
