Private Security Firms and AAS
I know a few of you work for companies like Blackwater, Triple Canopy, etc. I may soon start working for one of these companies. Do they screen for AAS use, or question it in the interview process, what do they think about it? Can I go on cycle while overseas on contract?
Someone let me know anything, if you know anything.

highly doubt it, most companies screen for illicit drug use, ie.. cocaine, maryjane, barbituites, opiets, etc..

they would probably prefer if you were juicing..
Naw the gov contract does not require that.. Criminal BAC, and 5 panel or 10 panel drug screening yes..
not for steroids ..The answer to your every question

I am pretty sure they do not test for gear at all. Mostly concerned with rec drugs and background. Contract selection is based upon class and skill. There are a lot of guys going civilian, but not very many who qualify under the 8 year minimum. That is a tough one for us younger guys. As always, depending on your service record, exceptions can and will be made depending on the need, language skill, etc...

I might even go with this one company for some other places in the middle east and asia, just not iraq or afghanistan. Figured if I worked at one of those for a while, I could probably get into a better one after a few contracts. I'm itching to go back to OEF or OIF.

I just won't run any long esters or anything that can't cleanse.
cjcapp, that's from the blackwater website... I'm not going to even try for blackwater because I've heard that they are only really hiring K9 handlers and pilots. Both things of which I have zero experience doing. The only way I know how to handle a k9 is to shoot one (the dogs in iraq and afghanistan are generally not domesticated like they are here!), and planes and helicopters, I've been in 'em and jumped out of them, thats about it.

They are tightening up on some of these companies. Especially DOD and DOS contracts. Just because a company doesn't test now, doesen't mean thet won't at a later time.
If you are planning on getting hired by one of these companies, my suggestion is to stay clean.
