if i am eating 5,000 calories a day and trying to put on bulk, is there really a point to doing any cardio???
i mean whats 400 calories being burned by some cardio if i am putting down 5,000 a day anyways?
i havent done any cardio in about 3 weeks (on cycle for 3 weeks) but im worried ill be putting too much fat on, but then i thought about the above, whats the point?

Not a vet, far from it, but apart from helping decreasing BF%, cardio strengthens your heart. Which is obviously of the upmost importance, especially if and when you are using gear. So yeah, you may be burning far less calories than you are consuming, the whole point of bulking, but you are giving your heart important exercise too. Just my 2.

^^^True, True, True!^^^
Cycles in a lifetime? Many.
Hearts in a lifetime? Possibly 2.
Cardio on cycle? Priceless.
Not a vet but I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night...
Moral..."always" do some form & amount of cardio.

agreed....plus if you are worried about fat then take another look at your diet & adjust it.

Clean bulk = Lean bulk. Why add unwanted BF when all you will have to do is loose it? Then when you are trying to loose it you loose muscle as well because you dont eat enough cals!! Vicious circle. Simple answer, dont add it in the first place.

I am not a VET, but I do play one on TV ( here puppy, time for your castration....lolol)
if you are worried about losing calories while doing cardio, you can still do it and just lessen the intensity of it. go longer , slower

5000 cals a day of clean food is tough to do.. Really take a good look at your diet and adjust accordingly if need be... and 3 days a week of cardio on a nice bulk cycle will not make you loose gains..it will help your heart, stamina in the gym, etc.. keep a log of the food you eat..best advise i can give.. people are very individual when it comes to this. you must learn what works 4 yourself through, well, trial and error.. some can bulk on 3000 cals, some 4000, some 5000..etc.. metabolisms and energy expenditure throughout the day are very much individual..
