working with roids for a living?

    fellas,
this may sound a little weird but I am a young kid 23 just graduated from nursing school... planning on going to med school this fall. I have been thinking hard about the direction i would like take my biology career, and have decided I would like to be involved in the area of biology that drove me to nursing! Steroids and hormones. I was wondering if any of you could help me identify the first steps it would take to becoming involved in this area....what i mean by that is involved in helping people make the right decisions when using steroids and working with HRT cases! do i even need to go to med school could i become a NP.... I don't know, i realize i have a lot to learn before i can do this, but i don't know where to go.... do i contact endocrinologist to talk with them? cuz i am not sure that they are working with people using steroids...just people who need the replacement therapy! I realize that you can't go wrong with the med school things as far as learning and having a chance as an endo, however I want to see if there is a way of making a good living working specifically with steroids, and their users. i am just wondering... I thought that you guys have been in the business long enough to have a knowledge of this! thanks sasman

Steroids aren't illegal. They're a controlled substance. If you want to do research in this area, you're probably going to want to do an md/phd program. That's what I'm currently doing. You can send me a pm for more details.

You would have to go to med school and become an endo. This is the only way to legally work with steroids , however, if you were to prescribe them for image enhancing or performance enhancing, you would be seriously frowned upon by the medical industry because it is considered morally and ethically wrong by the mainstream medical community. You would come under intense scrutiny as it is considered unacceptable conduct for a physician to do that. The Docs who are doing this are very secretive about it and being a controlled substance, you couldn't prescribe all that much without FDA knowing about it or whoever polices the supply of drugs in your country. It may even now be illegal anyway. They have been working towards introducing new drug policy (particulary steroids) within government in your country.

    fellas....
just b/c you work with them doesn't mean i need to prescibe them.... or be an endo right? Lots of Doctors don't have a clue whats going on with them or how they work. I am not talkin so much as research but maybey consulting on what to use, how to use them....whats safe whats not. what PCT would be good.... explain to people how they work! I know that there are labs that do blood testing for people specific to steroids and also have Docs that check everything out to make sure that everything is in check! An endo works a lot with people with hypersecretion or some type of secretion problem....anyways just a dream i have!!!!

What your suggesting is totally illegal. How are you going to professionally consult in a medical setting legally? Do you think your clients would not worry about confidentiality. As a graduate nurse, you would know about keeping acurate records, don't you think your clients would be concerned about that info? Like getting raided? How would you attract clients? Put an add in the papper? You gotto be an endo, your never legally qualified to advise anyone.
Cmon man, Unless your providing HRT as an Endo, the only place it's gonna happen is in your local gym or as a drug & alcohol councellor.

There you go, D&A councelling! You got it.

sounds like you want to be a personal trainner. J/K

I think endo is the only way to go unless you work for schering or some company that makes drugs,

I guess if you got real deep into it you could be like Anthony Roberts or William Llewlyenn,

Im not really helping but Id PM Mr. Roberts he'd probably have a good idea.
