A lot of people do use it on cycle, in fact I'm taking Isotretinoin. You know not to get anyone pregant while using it right? It causes birth deffects (definatley if the woman is taking it and most likey if the man is taking it).

You've read the possible side effects, understand that some can be serious, know the symptoms, so you can make the desicion to stop or continue if you experiance one or more of them. You went through the list of pre-existing health concerns that would restrict one from using it, decided you did not have any of the conditions and there for can experiment starting the lowest recomended dosage.

Seems to me you should already know the answer.

I would not reccommend running Accutane with TEST.. if u have nice hair.

    if u're balding n dont give a **** .. go for it.

    Accutane causes hairloss also.

ontop of that, the stuff dries u out.. so nose bleeds and such do happen.
Which can be a bitch at the gym, especially since your blood pressure usually gets elevated while on juice.
    STUFF IS STRONG.

    on top of that..
ACCUTANE makes u break out, all over the body.. thats how it works..
Now if u're juicing u'll be feeing the accutane break out, ..
good chance it makes the problem and scarring alot worse than it already is.

Save Accutane for after the cycle.. if ever

Do you already have acne? Or are you trying to prevent it?

I agree with Pooks. This stuff is powerful. Definitely wasn't fun when I took it in high school. Frequent nose bleeds, chapped lips, completely dried out, and makes you break out like crazy. But after taking it I don't break out on my face anymore. A little on my back post cycle but nothing drastic.

How would the acne get worse if you took it On cycle??? For the first month or so you break out more w. acne but after that every week your skin gets clearer or did I miss something??

In a lot of ways agree with Pooks and lilripped on this one. This seems like a powerful drug with more potential for serious problems then most. You may think I was trying to be a smart ass with my answer, I wasn't. I truthfully can't tell someone they are okay to use it. I'm in no position to evaluate their current physical or mental health. I'm in no position to continually evaluate them while taking accutane while on cycle or not.

I can tell you that it is much more difficult to get a prescription for it and keep getting a prescription every thirty days, then just about any drug I've ever seen. Although I'm no fan of the FDA, I've never seen them setup hoops to jump through like this before, and I can only think that this drug deserves more respect then most because of that.

I believe that if one wants to play doctor and self medicate themselves, they have the right to, but with that right comes the responsibility of doing the research as well. I put accutane in a more serious category of drugs then the AAS we use. Most people here don't recommend beginners take tren , well I view this drug as being a lot more serious then tren. Just because it is acne medicine doesn't mean its a joke.

The medical field does not know the exact way accutane works but they do know that it alters DNA transcription. Couple that with the very serious warnings and regulation set up because of birth defects and my conclusion is this drug is not to be taken lightly.

Yeah I'm on it now - at the lowest recommended dose and I have read the possible side effects. I know what to look out for. Do these guys asking the question know what to look out for? I also read and understood what the possible side effects were before I made the decision to try it. To spell it out that means I know that I may get one or more of the side effects, and that some of the possible side effects like depression may be compounded by pct depression - do the people asking this question know that? What is their cycle history? Have they gone through PCT before? Do they know how it effects them independently of accutane? What is there family history of mental health? Does their mental health put them in a different risk category?

I'm using the mental health questions as an example of the questions and thinking I went through before deciding if I should try it. I knew from research that a lot of people have taken it on cycle and were fine. Does that mean that I will be fine if I take it on cycle? No. Both of those pieces of information were factored into my decision.

I'm not saying take it or don't take. My point is this is a serious drug and one should not rely on a simple "I do it so you'll be fine bro" answer. Maybe I'm making to much out this drug but it is my body and I've had enough experience to know that some consequences are permanent (to my regret).

While you are on cycle, and PCT after cycle, it is just going to be an infiniti supply of acne while on accutane. Like throwing gasoline on a fire.

This thread has gotten me to take a deeper look at accutane and reevaluate my positionon it. Currently I'm on cycle and on accutane. I have decided to stop the accutane while on cycle. The quote from the abstract below contributed to my desicion.

"Accutane, the active component of which is 13-cis-retinoic acid (RA), is the primary treatment for chronic acne. RA induces differentiation and reduces proliferation of stem and progenitor cells, and 13-cis-RA helps control acne by inducing similar events in basal sebocytes (1). These same actions also lead to 13-cis-RA's side effects, and these are directed toward proliferating cells in the adult such as in the skin, gut, and bone."

    http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/art...medid=15051884

I'm on cycle to grow and based on the study above acutane seems counter productive. I have other means of controling acne -lower the dose of AAS, choose different compounds, or run shorter cycles.

Accutane makes you break out? When I took it 5 years ago my acne was so bad that I didn't even notice break outs. I had break outs everyday since I hit puberty.

I had mild breakout just a few weeks before the end of my Primo cycle. I started using PanOxy bar at 10% just a few weeks ago on my back and shoulders. It has been the most effective product by far. I still use Nizoral on my face, since it's less drying and seems to still work well for facial acne...but not so well for other areas.

    product name:
    Stiefel Laboratories PanOxyl Bar

You can purchase this at any drug store.

ripped and pooks are bang on. I ran Acutane a long time ago for serious acne and looking back I couldn't imagine running while on gear it is an endevour to get through the treatment period on its own. Blurred night vision, nose bleeds that are recurring, BADLY dry skin, which included cracked lips and coldsore like sores (infendego - not spelled right) in corners of mouth, lethargy and lingering joint and back aches like I had the flu full time

would imo make it difficult to get the most out of your cycle while on dr. prescribed dose (not commenting on those who take milder self medicated doses)

I took Acutane a while back and from what I understand prescribed doses are lower now for various reasons, the potential mental ones probably mostly why, so it may not be as serious as my experience..

make the right choice with your treatment, for all the bad things I mentioned the end result is amazing!! I haven't had to even think about acne since...
