Everyone is different, but generally speaking, one should make sure time off = time on. Giving your body plenty of time to recover is important. Make sure you have proper PCT meds before you start a cycle and use them properly. I have heard of guys getting shut down for a long time when they have stayed on a variety of steroids for months and months.

Is there actually any proof that anabolics have shut a person down for life? I am sure people get shut down for long periods and maybe think it will be for life, but I haven't read anything stateing medical proof of this.

I think this would be better answered by someone on HRT/TRT.

I'm under the belief if your 'shutdown' for long enough, secondary hypogonadism can take effect.

I have a close friend who did more than 10 cycles over 3 years without ever doing any PCT at all. He claimed his sex drive and performance were way down but not completly shut down sexually. I pushed him to take a test to see his testosterone levels and also a semen analysis to see if his boys can swim or not.

The testosterone test he did said the normal range was between 7-12 i dont know what the unit was maybe mg per day, but his test showed 0.96!! so he wasnt even a single digit on that one!

His semen analysis showed that 55% of semen was already dead when released, and remaining 45% almost all died within an hour and the remaining ones were very slow/sluggish in movement.

I dont know if this counts as complely shut down or not, but its certainly not good news!!

If you were to run HCG during and after the cycle, would that keep you from getting completely shutdown?

Running it during and after the cycle will help you recover PROVIDED that you do the regular PCT Clomid+Nova afterwards also.

Doing HCG alone doesnt recover anything, its important but it doesnt recover you, HCG send somewhat of a fake signal which helps the cells in your testes get back into "ready" mode, but it doesnt make them start producing naturally!!

Doing HCG alone could actually shut u down more if u understood hwo it works exactly.

Take HCG during the cycle to stop your balls from shutting down, and then after the cycle do the clomid nolvadex protocol to actually get your balls working normally.

Taking "ass" or taking it up the "ass"?

I say avoid taking it up the ass or else you could get fertilized.

HCG cannot maintain natural testosterone production when shutdown using androgens. It will mainain ITT (Intra-testicular testosterone), which maintains mass, nothing more.

And overuse is very detrimental yes. It can lead to primary hypogonadism.

That is pretty damned close to shut down..........how long after the last cycle was the testing done? That could be the reason behind the low count if he had them done shortly after his last. Just a thought though.
