    Anyone ever had an abses?

My ass got sore, I thought is the normal ball up. It started to go away, but now I can barely walk. It feels like muscle pain, thats why I was wondering what an abses felt like.

Typically, if pain and swelling progresses, then this is a signal of a problem. Abcesses require time to develop, so being sore after an injection should not cause panic. If conditions worsen, then concern should rise. If it gets to a point were red lines are developing around the injection site, then go to the hospital.

Just to note, I have had injections that caused pain, swelling, and redness. This all developed rather quickly. I simply monitored the situation for any changes (+/-). As time progresses, the swelling and pain subsided.

Definately get it drained it will only grow and grow till you see a red line following a vein to your heart. I waited a little too long and had to have it drained and cleaned everyother day n when the red vein hit joints i started having pain in them. So my advice would be get it drained prob round 300 bucks with no insurance including followups

Those Pics go to show you that you need to make sure your gear is High Quality and that you follow correct protocol while Injecting gear

Does the abcess hurt? Mine feels more like the muscle is sore, but I want to be sure. How long does it take for the abcess to form?

ok, to answer your question, absess's can form over days, weeks , or even months..
When i got mine, it took 3 months from my last injection to form.. I had to have it surgically removed and now have a crader on my shoulder.. if you THINK u have an infection, get on antibiotics NOW..before its too late... Trust me and take my word...

those pics are people who let them get out of control. if u adress the problem early enough it should never get that bad. so i think it is wrong to say hey if it looks like this then u have one if not u dont.

abscess is nothing to play with!!! it is an infection subcutaneous and can travel quickly!

couple things you can do at home within the first day or so...

first draw a circle around the red area, then place a hot compress for 15-20 minutes on and off and repeat as often as possible. put some sort of topical anti-biotic while not applying warm compress. if the red area travels outside the circled area in 24 hours time...get your ass to the hospital asap...you will have it drained it it is "ready" then go on heavy anti-biotics orally which might be Bactrium and also receive a boost anti-biotic of penicillin

    good luck....
