Any1 ever heard of any1 getting caught in the military ?

I know - I know this tread get posted like a million times & I know testing is out there under probable cause but getting test is almost unheard of. I've been using for almost 4 years now. Biggest thing walking around. Bench pressing over 400lbs. If ya seen me in the gym & you use. You would know off the bat I'm on the stuff. It's never covered in any training like hardcore drugs and this is fine for me. Keep it that way I'll be disgreet, shut up & lift. But does anyone know anybody personally busted in the service? Not no rumors or "I heard". Know for a fact someone popping hot.

No, but with "probable cause" the possibility always exists.

The military does not test for steroids . Steroid testing, on average, cost around 300 bucks a person. They just don't have the money for that. But I have known people that have gotten kicked out because of it. Mainly from their own stupidity. Meaning they left it out in the open in the barracks during an inspection, or the biggest cause is they run their mouths about it and the wrong person finds out. I have only known 2 cases, but I have known plenty that have gotten kicked out because of rec drug usage.

Wow... How did they manage to conjure that one up? It looks like a lot of thought went into that name.

I've been in the military for 7 years and I'm an officer. You will get tested if a an officer is an asshole and wants to look good by kicking someone out for drug abuse.
Here's the kicker, it doesn't have to be your commander. Any Cpt or above that sees you in the gym lifting a lot can request, through your commander, that you be drug tested for roids. That's why it's imperative that you don't make it too obvious. And yes, I have known numerous people who have been kicked out.
My advice is don't go to the base gym and don't flex your muscles around base. There are jealous little babies out there that will burn you. Also, do something like testosterone that can easily be out of your system when they re-test you a couple of weeks after your first failure.

I never used real AAS when I was in, just took some 1-ad when I was ***loyed to Iraq. One day I'm working out at the fob gym and people are staring at me and saying damn dude, you're arms are jacked, etc. Next thing I know everyone is saying I am juiced, which I sort of was. I even saluted my lt col once and he said "hey, how's those steroids working out for you?"
    "Geez sir, I wouldn't know" I say and he's like yeah...right.

Then one day I was eating lunch in the chow hall and this dude sitting next to me was really irritating me so without hesitation I turned and punched him in the gut and grabbed him by the neck telling him to watch his mouth. Yeah, that didn't help the rumors either. That dude for sure ran his mouth to everyone and said I had roid rage along with everyone who was sitting at the table when I jacked him. Then my supervisor who was sitting right across from me blurts out "What the fvck! Are you on testosterone ?" I'm like dude...no. It wasn't very convincing.

Point is, nobody seemed to give a fvck. There were all kinds of reasons to suspect I was juiced but the only time I was ever directly asked if I was on was that time at lunch when I punched some guy I knew. And it was my douche bag supervisor that asked me and nobody ever listened to him anyway. People would even come up to me in the gym, the chow hall, basically anywhere and ask about roids which at the time I knew fcvk all about.

So in my case my chain of command basically didn't give a rat's ass what I was on. It was in the middle of a war too, so I guess they took that into account. The fact that my Squadron Commander joked about it with me was pretty decent of him. That said, if I'd have done something real stupid or been caught with real AAS, I think they'd have probably hung me out to dry. Like the officer above said, there are some jealous people who would take pleasure in getting someone kicked out for drug use.

I got kicked out by my CO with an other than honorable for some jacked up blood work when I went to medical with kidney pain. The doc must have ordered my hormone levels to get checked with whatever else he wanted to check. When he got the results he called my Skipper and let him know that my hormone levels were all jacked up. I was a VERY good Sailor and had just won Junior Sailor of the Quarter so my CO called me in to ask me in person. I didn't lie and told him that I was doing steroids when we were in Japan a few months prior. He was real nice and gave me an OTH without getting me tested. They even paid for my move home and got me my current job.
