High ck levels in my blood (NEED HELP!!)
Hey whats up guys?
Today i went to see dock because i had chest pains. The chest pains turned out to be a chest muscle so that turned out ok.
The doctor then tested my blood just in case and got back to me and said everything was ok but i had high ck levels in t he blood.
He told me this meant my muscle was breaking down alot and entering my blood.
Im currently taking fina, win, EQ.. and doing a super low carb, high pro diet..
Im a little worried and wanted to ask u guys exactly what this high ck level thing meant. Plz explain in detail what it is since im going crazy thinking im no producing alot of muscle now anymore.. Thanx alot...

High CK levels usually indicate damage to the heart muscle. People who have high muscle mass have naturally higher ck levels as do African Americans. Excersise such as weight lifting can raise CK levels. If your doc says the pump is in good shape it may just indicate your muscles have undewent heavy use i.e. you have been hitting the gym really hard.

Super Low carbs can be bad too. . .as we are learning since the Adkins craze. You need carbs to make ATP (energy for the cells). Without them you are forced into ketoacidosis and sometimes catabolism depending on what you are doing.
Do you do a lot of cardio? Cardio can be catabolic, depending on how you are doing it.

1 more thing muscle trama of any kind raises creatine kinase so if you have an injured chest muscle, that could be where the ck is comming from.
