    ER....Finally had to go

Well I F'd up ....Let me share my possible mistake and experience to help others....Injected 1ml Test E in glute....didnt realize while switching needles that I switched to a 1".....Im positive it never got into the muscle...plus as you know injecting you rglute isnt the easiest...the last half of the shot the needle was only half in so thats jsut a 1/2" deep....well after about a day and a half I had the hard lump and it was real painful...hot and red all around the area...next day worse......then the next day I was all dizzy so I said F this lets go up the ER and get it checked out....1st time I ever had to do this but better to be safe then sorry...I knew people that have lost legs and others who have died from bad infections

Anyways Heres a new one for you all....I tell the Doc I got poked by wire fence, not taking any chance of having info that Im injecting myself with anything o get on my insurance records.....he tried draining in but just blood came out...He said it was definitly infected ...they Ultrasounded it to get a better look to see if it was worth cutting open....but they didnt go that route....just antibiotics for 7 days with IBprophen to help break up the lump/Hematoma....after one day Of Anti B's the dizziness went away....2 days all the redness was gone.....now day 3 Its still sore and the lump seems softer but a little spread out more

Moral of the story Go Deep....and dont take chances with infections......Normally I would ride it out to see if mybody will fight it....I had the same thing happen in my quad last year minus the Dizziness....It took about 7-8 days to clear up on its own.....but when I had the dizziness this time I knew something was not right

    Hope this can help some

I always use a 1" pin on my glute without any problems. All I ever use in 1" on all spot injections, But i think my glutes are fairly lean. I always massage the area as well, to help break up the oil for better absorption.

oh go bro, where to start. You probably didnt have a problem w/ the depth bro, infections have little to nothing to do w/ that. It is about bacteria so something wasnt right w/ the injection process not the depth though. Just clearing things up for ya.

I just figured the Oil was sitting there under the skin and that may have caused the problem. I use the same injecting procedure and am very clean but I guess ya never know either way

exactly. It will take a little longer to get absorbed if its not in the muscle but will not cause an infection

Yeah exactly, i've always wondered about this... because there are other things you have to inject subcutaneously (HGH, HCG , etc.) and if you do everything sterile, you don't get any infections from that...

Glad the antibiotics worked fast for you. I always try to keep some antibiotics around from past unused prescriptions just in case of a problem like that. And one time my entire right glute was pink and raised and getting more painful everyday. Like you the antibiotics cleared everything up within 3 days.

Yeah, there is no mistaking a 1.5. Looks like a freaking cattle needle.

I simply do not shoot my ass, I find it hard to aspirate . I use 23g 1 inch in all other spots. I am very anal, shower, clean, rubber gloves and all. Always bottom it out, inject slow, massage, clean when done with alcohol. Glad you are okay

    scary story bud.

I use a 1 inch needle for glutes, works just as well as a 1.5 inch.
Is it ug gear or human grade you use?.

I use to use ug gear but it just messed me up with swollen injecton areas.

But i always use clean needles, new syringe, alchohol swabs and shower before injecting. Better safe than sorry. glad your ok.

It was Human grade.........but now Im wondering if its the gear or just me being lousy at injecting the Glute ( lots of movement)....Shot my right Glute Wed pm( 2nd shot out of the 10ml bottle) and now thats all red and sore....theres a good bruise there too........dont see how it could be an infection since Im on an Antibiotic for the left Glute... Guess Ill stick to the Delts and Quads...just hope its inflammation

If the oil does not go into the muscle it will cause a sterile abscess

Sterile abscesses are sometimes a milder form of the same process caused not by germs but by non-living irritants such as drugs. If an injected drug like penicillin is not absorbed, it stays where it was injected and may cause enough irritation to generate a sterile abscess— sterile because there is no infection involved. Sterile abscesses are quite likely to turn into hard, solid lumps as they scar, rather than remaining pockets of pus.

I,m not flaming you mate but some newbs should definatly know this:

Gloves won't protect you from bacteria, they are used to protect yourself from other peoples blood born diseases. Using gloves does not replace hand washing,(the first step towards infection control) Particulary under your nails, creases and cuticals. But if you are doing someone else, by all means, use gloves if you choose but be sure to still wash your hands.

    Peace.
