Drug Testing and the J-O-B

I've been a jobless student for some time, but as the bills begin to rack up, the job search must commence. I don't Edited. No rec drug posts or do any other funky pleasure drugs and I rarely drink. However, when they say "Drug Test" to get hired to a new job, do they include steroids in their drug screening? I always thought it would be just for pleasure drugs and roid screening was just for athletic events and such. Please, someone toss me the info. I don't want to apply for a job and get the boot because I have Var or T-bol still in my urine.

what kinda job is it. are u gonna be a cop or sumthin cause steroid scanning is expensive to test if not correct me if im wrong!

A typical ''drug test'' is trying to detect the most common recreational drugs like pot ,cocaine,heroine and methamphetamines testing for steroids is very expensive. so if your going for a ''steroid test'' then you have some thing to worry about. when they do a steroid test ,they are actually testing for the level of testosterone in your system..

yep , elevated testosterone levels . i recently had a drug test (mandatory ) and nuthin came up. im pretty sure the cost was somewhere around $2k or so to do a test on testosterone . from one of my buddies who is a cop and got tested told me. so if they are testin specifically for that which is a whole seprate test then. id wait a bit maybe check the roid profile and see the life time of that type!

normal 5 panel or even 11 panel drugs tests DO NOT test for steroids .... employers only test for rec drugs...

9 panel and steriod test cost $160 bucks. i just took them on wensday of last week.

real long story but in a nut shell....my insurance company did it to try and stop paying my medical bills, from a on the job injury in 05.

All depends on where you test, and what you test for as far as price goes. Jobs only test for rec drugs unless your trying for governmental jobs or cop jobs then you do get tested.
