well its different than the cardio megaly in general. cardi megaly is often a symptom of disease, but cardiac hypertrophy occurs naturally as a positive response to aerobic training.
"Androgens have anabolic effects on cardiac myocytes and has been shown to enhance left ventricular enlargement and function. However, the physiological and patho-physiological roles of androgen in cardiac growth and cardiac stress-induced remodeling remains unclear."

That study was done by Japanese researchers in 2005.
why was cardi*****ly censored? weird i had to write it as two words.

they don't grow in the same fashion... your heart and toungue are smooth muscle... bis, tris, and all other muscles that we work out to get bigger are striated muscle... smooth muscle does not grow as you would think... only striated muscle grows due to steroids and working out...

click the link to the study in my earlier post and read it. It took me a few minutes to accept as well.
Cardiac muscle exhibits cross striations formed by alternation segments of thick and thin protein filaments which are anchored by segments called Z-lines. It is primarily composed of myosin and actin proteins, just like skeletal muscle. In fact when you see the three types side by side, the smooth muscle looks totally weird, while cardiac and skeletal muscle look similar, except for the previously noted differences.Last edited by TexSavant; 10-21-2007 at 02:24 AM.

The tongue is also skeletal muscle, so if you work out your tongue a lot, maybe it would get bigger.. haha.. Smooth muscle in is bowl, arteries, glands, around your airways... places like that... and it is very slow contracting..
