    Sublingual Tablets? Same as Injectables?

I just heard about these. Sublingual tablets with cyclodextrine transport molecule sublingually. Same as injectable but without needle. Place 1-2 tabs under tounge until fully disolved, leave it there for a few more minutes, then throw out rest, dont swallow, it wont work. It never passes through your liver. Does 1-2 tabs every 6-8 hours.

    Any feedback on this stuff?

my supplier has sublingual pills for sale and they are suppossed to work without messing up your liver. I have no idea what cyclodextrine is but I know that oral masterone, prop, and eq are available for sublingual and i have friends that like them.

    FALSE

TRUE BUT THAT'S NOT IT'S BIGGEST CONCERN.

The liver is actually a latent filter so a drug has to be strong enough to make the journey. To be absorbed an oral drug must survive encounters with low pH and numerous GI secretions, including potentially degrading enzymes. For instance, peptide drugs like insulin are particularly susceptible to degradation and can’t be administered this way. Then the orals are transported across the membranes of the epithelial cells in the GI tract which has luminal pH along the GI tract, blood perfusion, the presence of bile and mucus, along with the volatile nature of conditions on epithelial membranes. Finally, it reaches the bloodstream only face the vaunted liver.

Granted the oral mucosa has a thin epithelium and rich vascularity which favors absorption, but contact is usually too brief for substantial absorption of say food or drink. However, when a drug is placed between the gums and cheek (buccal administration) or under the tongue (sublingual administration) the longer retention enhances absorption. But don’t be fooled into thinking this method is on par with IM because it’s a not. And it doesn’t even matter if the drug is bonded, coated, in an acid, oil or water base. This is why we have to chew or swallow aspirin rather than go sublingual.

IM drugs also have to trek to reach the bloodstream, but these are just safeguards that protect us from harm. Any IM must cross one or more biologic membranes to reach the systemic circulation. They’re movement across capillary membranes is so slow that most absorption occurs via the lymphatic system as in Hooker’s writings on Test in a soft gel cap delivery mechanism, which is still quite effective and often used by longer fat chains. In such cases, drug transport to systemic circulation is slow and often incomplete because of 1st-pass metabolism by the proto enzymes in the lymphatics. This is why Test is so heavy. In the final analysis, IM provides superior absorption to any oral administration described above, so don't be afraid of the pins guys. Any other avenue will be undoubtedly less efficient, and consequently more expensive.

So lets say injects are 100% absorbed and effective, how would the oral route be? 70-80% as good?

I would think after reading Magic32's response that it would actually be quite lower probably in the 20% to 30%, if that.
