you can do it, but IMO they're too small. it will take forever to pull through, and forever to push out. try to get some 23g

    Cool A Hint on Drug Stores . . .

A 27 g. needle is getting into insulin territory, and you can get them at most drug stores. However, most drug stores don't carry larger needles (25 g. and below).

But, there are two types of stores at which you can get larger needles - drug stores that specialize in home care, and "home medical supply" stores. These are the type of places that do everything from colostomy care to wheelchairs and safety bars, and they tend to carry a wider range of needle sizes.

Example: On my last foray into Canuckland (where you do not need a prescription for injection supplies), I picked up some supplies at Shoppers Drug Mart, a major chain. Most of them do not carry 22-23 g. needles, but there's one SDM that does - they do a lot more with home care patients than the other SDM stores. I also found them at a Pharma Plus store, which did not have 23 g. syringe-needle combinations, but did have non-needle syringes and separate 23 g. needles. (They're just as good since I draw with a 20 g. needle and do quad shots with a 23 g.)

So, if you live in an area where you do not need a prescription to get needles, pass up the general drug stores and look for a HME (home medical equipment) or DME (durable medical equipment) supplier.

BTW, I agree with bigkev - pass up he 27 g. Youu can squeeze an oil-based solution through a 23 g. (or even a 25 g.) needle, but 27 g. is waaaaaaaay too small.

When I ran out of 22's and 23's, I used some 21's as a last resort, and they weren't bad at all. But damn, 18's! That's gonna leave a bigass mark! I think I'll stick with the 21's since the draw the T400 I have pretty quick, and inject well too.

    Good luck!
