wisdom or sore jaw?
So a couple of days ago I noticed my jaw was sore on the right side, there is a nice muscle lump on the masseter area which is the muscle that sticks out when you bite down. I don't know if it could be a wisdom tooth or if I grind my teeth at night and pinched something. It hurts to yawn and eat chewy food. Ya know when you blow up lots of balloons and you get that air in your cheek and goes to your ear .... thats where it hurts aswell. Has anyone felt this when their wisdoms were absessed or if their grinding has the same effect.

ya i was talking 2 a pharm and he explained my symptoms to a T. I got it for sure, have you ever yawned and your jaw clicks but at the same time you get a sharp pain in your face that makes your head twitch and your like WTF was that? Its your jaw tendon rubbing on your bone and hitting nerves as it goes over...ouch. So to start I'm taking Naproxin 550mg anti inflamitory and glucosamine sulfate with MSM. Those Naproxins are like magic, all the pain in my calves and jaw are 90% gone and one lasts the whole day. What do you do for yours?

haha no bro. they go in through your ear. and they sew the cartlidge that is slipping back in place. its really not bad at all. you cant even tell that i had the surgery. you cant get rid of it without the surgery. it only bothers you for about a week, and they give you this wierd ass tool that helps you work out your jaw muscles.

Holt S#%T man!!!! through the ear!!! Now you got me crappin my pants. Me and the ears don't get along to well. I've had a cyst removed from the back of the lobe and I recently got over a rare form of shingles on the ear drum in the side of the jaw pain so I know first hand what ear pain really is and can do. Can't the send me to jaw Pysio?

lol its really nothing. getting your wisdom teeth takin out is like 100 times worse. when i went to my oral surgion he told me that surgery was the only way to get rid of it. he also told me that its just going to get worse and he said that as i get into my older age it could even cause arthritus in my jaw. i figured that would suck a lot more than just getting the surgery. i would just atleast go see a doc and see what he says. but there really isnt anything to worry about as far as pain and recovery. it was a breeze.
