asprin vs advil..... and gains
hey guys,
I have tried searching the forums looking for some answers and i have found some good stuff.......... i know that advil can hinder gains, and i read in an earlier thread that asprin was reccomended over advil... is this because aspirin does not slow protein synthesis?? I am a pitcher in college, and i usually take advil after every outing to reduce inflamation...... so my question is... does asprin not slow gains like advil??/

where did you read that about advil? can you give a link- i am very interested in that. i would think that advis would have the opposite effect because it is an anti-inflammatory (and inflammation leads to protein degradation).

Heres what you cant take... Ibuprofen/tylenol/neproxen sodium/asprin/vikoden/percocet/darvocet
Basically anything other then a straight opiate is going to hinder protein synthesis
