Signing for packages at Post Office

Just 3 weeks ago had my order come in from China..
The USPS put one of those "must sign to pick up express mail" letters in my P.O. box...thought something was a bit odd bc usually just got my package in my P.O. box or a key was in there for me to open a bigger P.O. Box.
So not knowing what to do, I asked the lady at the desk for my package...She even looked at it and said, "China, huh?"...Only thing I could think to say was that Im ordering tickets for the Olympics...
Well my dumb@$$ signs for the package...no problems there.....

BUT Im worried they might screw me over next time..

IM expectin an order in by tomorrow....
Anyone think its likely I will get a seizure letter or possible problem with the authorities when I come to get my expected package???

I had to sign for my gear and nothing happened to me. I'm pretty sure if its seized they just take it away and send you a nasty letter the first time. Some of these guys probably have more experience with this then me though.

yeah...Im just a bit uneasy bc of that well known UGL in China gettin busted and Im worried the Feds are just goin through and fishing up email address, P.O. Boxes, etc...
I made a dumb move by making 2 orders there in less than a month....Maybe Im just paranoid.....but damn I have too much to lose by gettin caught....hopin they just see me as one minnow in a big sea and ignore the petty user

Haha, that's the gamble I make as well. Use up that gear so that you don't get your ass pounded in prison, lol.

The only thing that you can do is wait and see what happens, hopefully they will just leave your package at your Po Box

My var came from Macedonia and the western union guy and the postman were both like, Macedonia, huh? I got nervous and told the western union guy that I was buying a car part lol. Then I realized that probably the best thing to say is that an old friend owes me money, so that's what I told the postman. I still laugh about the car part, lol.

i just wouldn't say anything... if they say something smart like "from china huh?".. I'd just answer..."yeah". and leave it at that. i got lucky, the one time i had to go pick up they just handed it to me. but that was a few years ago.

i talked to my mail carrier and she said that if I just sign the notice and leave it in my box, that she will put the pack in my mail box the next day..at least that way I dont have to go to the post office

my po guy said he will start signing for me and just leave it, since i get a good bit of registered

Appreciate it fellas. I was just being paranoid..guess the only thing I have to worry about is the jacked old guy who works at the Post office...Im thinkin he might be tempted to jack my gear and use it himself...but I guess thats unlikely

well generally speaking if it made it to the post office then you're ok. You have to show your id but thats normal. thats why you shouldnt order with a fake name.....also you cant get busted down the road if your not caught with sh*t....customs would be the one to flag your address.

ahh...yeah good point. that makes sense. Do you think they would go after individual users ordering a package every third or fourth week from China?

I wouldn't have told either one of them anything...None of their ****ing business. Their only job is to wire your money and deliver your mail.

You gotta sign for registered airmail...

Make sure you understand the shipping method 100% before you order..that should go without being said..

damn...forgot about the registered airmail thing....oh well...my stuff is takin 4 days longer than usual at this point than it usually does, but Im tryin to not worry about it
