Yes weight matters because if you're skinny and have a hard time putting on mass without gear it means your diet is crap and when you do start aas your diet will still be crap and you still wont put any size on and you'll be scratching your head wondering why. When we ask for stats we ask for weight because it tells us a lot about the person in question regarding aas, it's a big hint that suggests diet is off, training could be better and you are not ready for steroids .
What are your stats? (age, weight, height, bf%, diet and training, goals)

5'10 at 140lbs (I had to look up stone) is too small for now dude, you can make much more progress without aas.

I personally would advise you to gain a fair few more pounds before using anabolic steroids , at least 26lbs though ideally more. You are most likely no where near your natural limit and it would be some what wasteful to use gear at this time. It would possibly be something that you regret it the future. I would think that someone your height should be able to get to 176lbs at around 15% bf naturally with a few years training.

Ill lay it out to you.
If you are not growing with the diet you have right now then you WILL NOT GROW ON AAS. If your not growing becuase your metabolism is too fast then EAT MORE. Yeah i know its easier said then done but can be learned over time and will need to be learned before starting AAS. You cannot grow without the proper nutrition so if your not growing then increase your caloric intake.

this is how you need to eat
http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=113010
if you have a fast metabolism, then you have to eat more..if you cant gain naturally at your age and stats, then you wont gain from steroids ..you need to figure out your basic metabolic rate for staters, then figure out how many calories you eat daily and you have to be eating more than your basic metabolic rate...diet is the key here

i was your weight when i started getting serious about weight lifting and ill tell you what helped me. counting calories. so many skinny guys talk about how much they eat and how fast there metabolism is. the truth is your prolly not eating nearly as much as you think you are. keep track of everything you eat for the next week, and i mean everything. then come back here and post it. let us work up a diet for you and we will have you gaining mass so fast youll think you where on steroids .

youre just getting to a ripe age around my mid 20's is when i noticed my muscle really harden and strength was all time high. the one thing i've learned is lifting is the easy part you have to literally force feed yourself . the bigger you get the harder it is to keep up with calories i'm 35 5/10 and weigh 273 right now i literally get tired of eating.
