Mod/Vet Question
Hey Boyz,
I have a slight problem that I need opinions on. I am looking for Mods/Vets....Big, Shift, Leggo, ect ect...
Fella's I got the Flu.... And its not the Test Flu, its the real deal. I had some things to do this weekend so I adjusted my workout to have it off. Came back from NY and felt like hammered dog sh**. Went to the Doc's today and sure as sh**.... The Flu!! I made some effort and went to the gym, but could not even do it. I haven't been able to hold food down, except for protein shakes and Carnation Breakfast with Fat free milk... About to try some chicken again so will see. What pisses me off is I am in week 5 of my cycle. What do you guys think I should do? I know it wont hurt to bad to take a few days off, but I am worried about my food intake. Anyway hit me back boys..
*****NOTE****
Don't give me your opinion if you have 1 or 2 crappy cycles under your belt, or 6 posts. I am not in the mood for crappy advice and will ignore you!!!

i would keep running your cycle. Rest up the next day or 2 to you are starting to feel better. Eat what you can even if its just shakes. A few days of a crappy diet wont kill the cycle

Plenty of fluid, stay hydrated, and get nutrients any way you can keep them down. Stay on your vitamins, up your intake of ester c, and garlic. At a time like this I would loosen up on the diet, if ice cream sounds good, eat ice cream, etc. Get plenty of rest. I'm far from an expert, but I believe illnesses like this just have to run their course, all you can do is work damage control and try to minimize your loss. Bump for other opinions.

I haven't tried them, if they agree with you have at it. Try to work in solid foods when you can, but anything that will stay down is much better than nothing at this point.

You'll bounce back bro. I once had a bad motorcycle accident in week 10 of a 12 week cycle, and it was almost a year before I could fully train again. It could always be worse.

I know Big, thanks bro.. I know its just a Flu and its not the end of the world but you know how it goes.
PingPang.... Not in the mood bro, just wanted some Vets opinions.

damn sorry to hear that brother...listen dont sweat it..rest, and take your vitimans like big said..hydration is the key..if you cant keep food down it sounds like you have a stomach virus and your body is trying to fight it off..so anything that goes into your body its going to reject...but hey look at the bright side...have u ever had the full effects of the flu longer than a week? its usually 3 or 4 days...take your antibiotics and whatnot...youll be good bro..youll bounce back

i know how you feel, sometimes the flu can feel like the end of the world, especially when you are on cycle and trying to gain as much as possible.
you need to keep your mind focused as well as your body. remember that recovery is your friend and you will not lose anything by taking time off to get healthy.
good luck

Thanks Emilio and Amorphic... Appreciate it!
Nate... I'm just saying I would rather not have the advice of people who have never cycled and as you know their are a lot of them here. Didnt mean to offend anyone and if I did I am sorry... And just so you know bro, I have at least 15 cycles under my belt.

As I've said before, there are new members here who know more than I do, but that being said we have also had our share of new members who would post a question in one thread and answer the same question in another thread with no clue what they are talking about. Browse the "Hall of Shame" thread for some examples. Unfortunately the thousands of clueless n00bs who don't know when to just read and learn have tarnished the reputation of the "new member". I'd say some of our current new members are some of the brightest guys I've seen join in a long time, and I'm really glad they are here. Unfortunately your predecessors have made some guys weary of new members.

I had 102 fever on vacation one year at the beach. I was mad cause i just wanted to be out in the sun jogging or whatever. My fever went down and the very next day i felt ok and went for a nice long jog by the beach and guess what. Sure as $hit, the fever came right back that night. Moral of the story is just to lay low. I'd rather take a week of and just relax then 3 weeks of bouncing back and forth.

I would carry on with the cycle and revaluate it in a weeks time, if your still struggling to keep food down and train i would consider stopping the cycle or even low dosing until you are ready to build muscle tissue again. If you cant eat or train its kinda pointless so i would see how things are in a weeks time.
On the food side, if your struggling to consume food i would drink the calories if you can still stomach shakes thats good at least there something getting in. Up the Vit c and try to sweat it out at night, plenty of clothes on and drink throughout the night and sweat the virus out. Best of luck

Thanks Marcus... Took a day off to rest and went to the health club, and switched between the steam and sauna. I'm gonna keep with my dosages and give it a few days. I really feel better now, but no where near 100% and I am not gonna rush it. Guess its just a minor set back. I just never got sick before on any cycles

i find it helpful when i'm sick if i do cardio w/ a hoodie on... it kinda creates a 'artificial/exercise induced' fever...
