Military almost never test for roids.
However on enlistment they do run blood test and it may come up.

I've heard that if they suspect you of using steroids they test. I guess it depends on the unit.

Every brach of the service tests for roids. but it is only a very small percentage. I was in the army for 6 years and never heard anyone come up hot for steriods . It also takes an officer to request that type of drug test if they suspect you, but if they are wrong they will lose their commision.
