Question for a buddy of mine. Would a Cortizone injection from a Doctor cause you to test positive for steroids ? Thanks

I don't know man. My cousin plays for the 49ers and he told me that cortisone is just another form of steroid . But it only goes after the inflamation according to him. But he did tell me that it's a steroid, and it's out of your system within a few days. He told me the name of the most popular but i can't remember right now.
I'll call him tomorrow and find out.
Why didn't your buddy ask the doc?

It would cause you to test positive for coristone. Cortisone is a corticosteroid with no anabolic /androgenic effect.

It would test positive as a steroid . I had surgery and my doctor injected some corticozol steroid (I think that's the term she used) into my scar to improve the healing. She told me that if I get drug tested to let them know that I recently had surgery and post-surgical treatment to improve the healing of the scar.
