Methimazole before bed?

Ok, im very unfirmiliar with this drug but i do know it slows the metabolism down. So with that siad what would happen if an ectomorph such as myself would take it once daily(at night)? Do you think it would slow the bodies nightly catabolism; therefore preserving muscle mass that would otherwise be eaten out of the starvation. Any insight would be appreciated since im very uneducated in this field and just looking for a little edge.
