pin'ing quads
hey guys can any1 go into a bit of detail about shooting quads every websyt i find isnt really a gd description how to and dont want to just go in anywer and hit a nerve or something stupid cheers guys

My first pin was in my quad because I thought it would be the most accessible and easiest place to do it...WRONG!!!! The shot didn't hurt, but afterwards I couldn't walk at all for a day and normally for another week. Killed my squats for a while. Maybe that is just me or maybe I nicked a nerve but I recommend first shot in the glutes every time. Easiest place by far and not many veins.

im just the oppsite, i recommend quads first cause of the easy-ness and i find glutes are more painful than quad...

quads are sexy
shoot on the outside of the leg obove the knee
you should be able to tense your leg to see pretty clearly where the muscle is because its pretty fooking big

Exactly. Easier to see and aspirate in the quads.

sit down. expose your whole thigh. look down at your leg, and draw an imaginary line from the center of your kneecap up the center of your quad (upper leg), all the way to the inguinal crease (where your leg connects to your body). shoot on the outside of this line, in about the middle 1/3 of your upper leg. there is a large area that is usable.
there is a great, albeit old and kind of funny, video on youtube where a weird looking nurse outlines areas to shoot in lipstick. good visuals in that video.

I love pinning the quads, much easier when you have to stick solo.

I just tried doing my first shot in my quad and cannot walk! I'm gradually getting better but it messed me up pretty bad!

I find quads can be tricky. Some people really love them because it's easy to shot in, but I prefer glute injects lately. Hard as hell to aspirate but don't have to worry about missing cardio the next morning. My last quad inject hurt like heck.

when i inject quads and delts I get this red spot that envolops the whole area following the part muscle I just injected. Delts arent so bad but all my quad shots hurt like hell for the next couple days, I barely feel glute injects at all.

Just shot a pec last night it was great. It is still great today. I usually use quads and delts (mostly left delt I have a hard time reaching the right delt) I hear lots of guys say glutes but. Cannot see my ass for my chest so no way I could aspirate .

I agree w/ quads over glutes, it is just so much easier.. not necessarily a better pain tolerance, it is just easier to see, aspirate , no twisting....
quad was my first injection site..
I just did pec last night, too.. it is not that big of a deal after you get over the idea.. at first I thought, I don't want a needle over my heart...
But I just use a 5/8" needle to be on the conservative side, and it's good.. it goes w/o saying you need a decent amount of chest meat to do it tho..
just reach your arm across your body so the chest 'piles up' and gets thicker and you have nothing to worry about...
