this is good advice for the wrong reason. its not bad on your liver at all, but NSAIDS are shown to have some inhibitory effect on muscle growth.

So you're saying if I were to take some Advil because I have a nasty headache or ache from a shot, it's going to inhibit muscle growth?

No, there are studies that show that nsaids can either hurt or hinder. But no studies have shown that acute use of nsaids will significantly impair muscle growth and development.

This is a very up in the air topic right now in the literature.

You dont have to be on steroids for them to cause stomach ulcerations and gi bleeding...

But acute nsaid use will NOT cause this....

It does inhibit muscle regeneration post workout

Take tylenol, have your GF massage the area...and see if she will help you create a natural pain relief response

NSAIDs - can cause GI bleeding, inhibit the prostaglanding protection of your stomach lining. AAS can augment this possibility. Yes, there is some evidence of decreased anabolism but shouldnt be an issue with an occassional dose

Tylenol - in high doses or in combination with other meds (oral AAS!) can stress your liver or in overdose levels will send you into liver failure - get to a hospital quick

you say this as if someone has contradicted you...

FYI...this liver is the MOST resilient organ in the human body....It takes enormous amounts of toxins to cause permanent damage to your liver...

In fact you could probably run max doses of DROL for a year straight and it not cause permanant damage(i dont reccomend doing this though)

I was scanning through this thread quickly and disappointed to see once again that someone had claimed NSAIDS were liver toxic.

Tylenol (Acetominophen) is the most dangerous medication in most people's bathroom cabinets. As little as 15-20 pills taken at once could send someone into liver failure which requires immediate treatment with N-Acetylcysteine, fluids and possibly hemodialysis.

Oral AAS by themselves used in the correct dosages are relatively safe.
