Preparing First Cycle...advice/tips?
So, here I am in the beginning of Feb. already planning out my first cycle. I'm currently 21, but I'll be 22 once I start the cycle which I plan on starting the second week of May. I'm not new to the bodybuilding scene. I've been doing research and have been in and out of the gym for the past 7 years now. I've never touched juice before, but believe it's time to give it a go. With that said, I've been a lurker on this site for years and finally decided to register and get involved. My plans for my first cycle are as follows:
TEST E + DBOL :
Test E @ 500mg/week (week 1-12)
Dbol @ 30mg/day (weeks 1-4)
PCT:
Nolvadex - 40/20/20/20/20 (week 13-17)
Clomid - 100/100/50 (week 13-15)
STATS:
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 170 lbs.
BF: approx. 15%
My overall goals of this cycle are to not only increase strength, but pack on some quality mass while trying to ramain as lean as possible. Although I'll be consuming a lot of calories, most of them will come from lean protein sources. If at all possible, I'd like to drop my bf% slightly during this cycle as well. So, I still have a few months left to get everything together, including my gear, but I figured I'd post up now so you guys can give me any advice, tips, or guidance that will help me out. Thanks!!
By the way, I'm going to be getting blood work done shortly so I'll be able to post up that information as well.Last edited by CobrazRide; 02-01-2009 at 01:09 PM.

Thanks for the input. My diet really fluctuates. When I'm in school, it's nowhere near what I like it to be since I'm usually running around, stressed, and all that junk; however, when I'm not in school my diet is real solid which is how it will be during the cycle. Those are my current stats as of now, so they will be different come cycle time, but not by much. I'm working on cutting down my bf% over the next 2-3 months before beginning the cycle, so come cycle time I should be around 13% or so.

yea your stats should be a lil better b4 starting gear...but since your gonnan do it anyways...
your cycle is basic and actually good..cept for the nolva..imo..the Nolva should be ran throughout cycle..thats just me..you may get gyno symptoms 6 weeks in..and you will want Nolva ASAP...so run nolva though whole cycle...up to you though
id say get rid of dbol ..but you won't so that is a good dose and 1-4 is ideal .. make sure you split the dbol doses to like 3 times a day..so 10mg 3 times a day... ummm
get some liquidex or something for bloating...your face will get fat without it..its very noticable too buddy 0.O..GoodLuck

Thanks a lot. This cycle isn't carved in stone just yet hence the reason why I'm here. I'm not 100% on running the dbol with it just yet, so I might just do a test only cycle first.
School would look something similar to this...
breakfast:
2 bowls of some grain cereal w/ 2% milk
apple/orange/clementine
4-5 egg whites
coffee
lunch:
ham or turkey sandwich
apple/orange/clementine
2% milk
dinner:
big salad that i usually throw some chicken or turkey into
2% milk
toast or roll or something like that
snack:
maybe some more fruit or a pb sandwich
Nonschool day typically looks like this...
Breakfast:
oats with fruit
2% milk
protein shake
5-7 egg whites
snack #1:
low fat cottage cheese w/ fruit
lunch:
grilled chicken sandwich on whole grain bread
some veggies either broccoli or carrots
2% milk
about 1/2 cup unsalted peanuts
dinner:
either some fish or a chicken salad with toast..or tuna..it varies
side of veggies, usually corn
2% milk
post workout protein shake
snack #2:
low-fat or fat free yogurt
celery with natty PB
2% milk
Foods here and there vary, but on nonschool days, I consume about 2600-2800 calories and protein intake is NEVER below 175 g. Now when I bulk, I'm going to increase this intake up quite a bit since I'll be consuming more calories. I also take a simple multi and fishoil.
Thanks..I was thinking somewhere around 3600, so that's close. My calories will definitely increase.

Try to replace some of that milk with skim milk, or just drink water. If you are eating fish two or three times a week with the nuts that is plenty of your fats. So try to cut out the milk and replace with water.

Thanks HuntMan. I drink a lot of water throughout the day..probably somewhere around 1-1.5 gallons, but thanks for the recommendation on the skim milk.

Thanks. I understand where you're coming from and appreciate the input. I have a mesomorph built with a wide frame. I was a heavy kid when I was younger then throughout my teens I slimmed up, but I've never been below 12%, but like I said previously, I'm going to kick up the cardio and watch my diet more carefully the next few months while I'm here at school with the goal of getting down to around 12-13%

Thanks! To answer your questions, while I'm in school, my diet is just merely food to keep me functioning throughout the days. I only make it to the gym about 2 days/week and I just do some light cardio and simple strength conditioning drills. There's no real goal of cutting/bulking while I'm in school, but just merely the foods I need to keep me going throughout the day.
On the other hand, my diet on nonschool days is more tailored to putting on leaner mass while minimizing fat gain. It's not truly a bulking diet nor a cutting diet so to speak. My diet will be tailored to more of a traditional bulking diet when I go on cycle, which I'll post in the diet forum.
